CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

VAOIL, THE OUTSKIRTS OF VOLARA.......

It took a moon and two weeks for Alora to arrive at Vaoil. The journey had been long and arduous. She had barely had anything to eat for the past few days, only having to depend on water. Water was sometimes even hard to come by, making her thirsty and hungry for the better part of the weeks.

Upon her arrival to Vaoil, Alora resided at the nearby patch of bushes that surrounded the small village. She had observed the villagers for a few days, she wanted to blend into the village without arousing  much attention from the people of the village. One faithful morning, Alora left the patch of bushes which she had been living to approach the village.

She walked to the nearest house she saw as soon as she entered the village. As she walked, people stared at her as though they had seen a ghost. Alora could really be likened to a ghost, for she had lost all her shine, her beauty, her grace. What remained of her now was the growing love she had for Kaan, and the primal need to survive, the incredible lust for revenge and the unbending will to become strong.
They muttered to themselves, asking whom she was and what she was doing here. Alora cast a deaf ear to all she heard as some insulted and abused her. She walked fast, nearing the wooden house within seconds. But as she approached the house, the inhabitants closed their doors to her, they didn't even let her come close to five meters before they shooed her away.

"I am the princess of Volara." Alora called out, but no one gave her ears. She said this not because she wanted them to fear her, if anything, Alora was not stupid. She knew that she had lost everything so even her name and status were now meaningless. She said this because she hoped that someone would have pity on her and if at all, invite her in.
She turned her gaze to the others, walking close to any who would offer her assistance. "Please help me." She cried out. But as though she was a plague, she was avoided. Wherever she went, the villagers cleared a path out for her.

Alora despaired, she had never felt this dejected in her life. She had wanted to come to Vaoil in the hopes that they would accept her, she could work as a maid and she could have a roof above her head. But not only did the people of Vaoil not take lightly to strangers as a result of previous experience with disguised criminals and others, no one pitied her.

Alora sat on the floor sobbing, she was really hungry and thirsty. Her last save of food had been exhausted three days ago, so she needed someone to pity her. This again hardened Alora's heart, she would never be powerless, she will never be weak and she must exact revenge on Constance.

Alora laid on that ground crying until she fell asleep in her hunger.

Day came and passed, it was already nighttime and Alora was left outside the village with nothing, no food, no water. Some villagers had carried her out of the village dumping her off just outside the village.

After what seemed like two hours, a figure cloaked in grey robes appeared out of nowhere outside the village. The person's head was covered so his gender could not be identified.

"So what I sensed was true, she is even dying." The figure spoke to himself, his voice was gentle and masculine. "I should save her." He said again. "She has the potential to break out of this accursed world, if I take her as a disciple, she will definitely thrive. 'But her foundation has been destroyed almost beyond repair. It will take time and a miracle, even with my expertise in medicine, I am not confident to heal her completely. Her heart is flawed. Her talent may save her. Oh Gods this is a gamble. saving this girl might change everything, it might also not yield anything.' He thought.
"What do I care, I should just trust my intuition."

The man then waved his hand on Alora's body, causing a bright white light to cover Alora's body as she disappeared. His other hand had already opened up a portal before him and he walked inside.

"That person". A feminine voice came, almost immediately as the male figure disappeared. A young woman in light green dress appeared above in the sky just above Vaoil.
' He truly runs fast.'Jasmine thought. 'But a mere saint realm expert outran me, how possible is this. He must have a treasure on him, a treasure that can make him escape my magic sense and block my space magic, he truly is talented. I must get hold of him and claim those treasures for myself. When I get back to the sect, master will be thrilled.' The woman laughed.  "This world planet is really special." She said as she blinked out of the sky.
