"Stories aren't just words on paper – they're doorways to a thousand possible worlds. When we dare to ask 'what if?', we're not just dreaming – we're creating new universes, one possibility at a time. So let your imagination run wild, fellow dreamers. After all, every great story started with someone who dared to dream a little differently."

Dear Fellow Dreamers,

Have you ever finished watching a series or reading a book, only to find your mind wandering through endless "what-if" scenarios? That magical moment when your heart is still so full of the story that you can't help but imagine different paths, alternate choices, and unexplored possibilities? That's exactly what happened when I first discovered Moriarty the Patriot and revisited the timeless works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

I fell headfirst into these richly crafted worlds, where every character felt alive and every plotline sparked new ideas in my imagination. The complex dynamics between Moriarty and Holmes, the intricate dance of justice and revenge, the Victorian era's stark social contrasts—all of these elements kept me awake at night, my mind buzzing with possibilities.

This isn't my first attempt at bringing these daydreams to life through fanfiction. My earlier works—though born from genuine passion—taught me some humbling lessons. I learned that enthusiasm alone isn't enough to craft a compelling story. You need something more: a tale that burns inside you, demanding to be told; characters who whisper their secrets in your ear; and a vision that won't let you rest until you've shared it with others. After many false starts and abandoned drafts, I finally have such a story to share with you.

To those beautiful souls who have already begun this journey with me—your support means everything. Every comment, every read, every tiny notification brings a warmth to my heart that I struggle to describe. You transform my solitary daydreams into a shared adventure, and for that, I'm eternally grateful.

This story is lovingly dedicated to every person who has ever stayed up late, lost in thoughts of "but what if they had chosen differently?" It's for everyone who has found themselves sketching out alternative storylines in their mind, who has ever felt so moved by a fictional world that they needed to expand it with their own imagination. It's for the dreamers, the wonderers, and especially for you—yes, you—who has chosen to give this story a chance.

DISCLAIMER!

With that said, I want to note that this work contains mature content, including strong language and action sequences. Reader discretion is advised.

This is a work of fanfiction born from love and admiration for the original works. The original characters and world of "Moriarty the Patriot" belong to the brilliant Ryosuke Takeuchi, and Sherlock Holmes belongs to the masterful Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. While I've poured my heart into creating new characters and weaving new tales within their world, I claim ownership only of these original elements and the story I've crafted around them.

This story is written purely for entertainment purposes and is not for profit—it's simply my way of sharing the dreams these wonderful works have inspired in me.

P.S. To those who might relate to that anxious feeling of "Is my writing good enough?"—I share your doubts, but I've learned that the most important step is simply sharing our stories with others who understand this passion. Thank you for being here, and I hope you'll join me in this adventure.

With boundless gratitude and imagination,

A nobody trying to be a somebody :)
