Jagger

Fifteen fucking minutes had come and gone and she was nowhere to be found.

I looked down at my phone to see if she'd tried to contact me and then I called her.

No answer.

Moose glanced over at me as he chugged his beer. He didn't even want to be here, but he knew I definitely didn't.

"What is it?"

"Julia...she was supposed to be back here,-"

Moose smiled, "Carlene is,-"

"I know Carlene is a good friend. I'm not at all worried about her being with Julia—I'm worried about Julia."

Moose nodded, but then our attention turned to something in the distance—a holler.

"That was either a fucking ghost or,-"

JULIA!

Julia

This bitch was already on my last nerve and I barely knew her.

I knew enough about her and what she'd done to Jagger that I couldn't stand her and I was certainly not going to stand by and allow myself to be bullied by this woman.

"So, going out with Jagger?"

"We're...together," I said, not knowing at all what Jagger and I truly were.

"Since...he barely knew you."

"Why does it matter?"I scoffed, "He knows enough about me now."

"He's absolutely taken by half the cheer squad."

I winced at that remark. Was he as much of a player as I thought? Would he hurt me?

"Yeah, he'll cheat..like he did on me," Sam said, "Or am I the bad guy?"

"You...are.."

But did I really know?

I knew Jagger's side of the story and not hers.

Who was lying?

"Pity I didn't beat his ass more."

"So you did hit him?"

"He deserved it."

"He didn't deserve it."

"Any man who cheats deserves it."

I winced again. I didn't believe in unnecessary violence, but I also didn't want Jagger to be that kind of guy.

"You should have just walked away from the relationship then."

Carlene stepped forward and leaned into me, "She's a psycho hose beast and still wants him. I know this for a fact. So does Gloria, by the way, but she's playing Sam."

I understood it now as Gloria threw my shoe back at me and Samantha charged.

I braced myself for impact and was tussled to the ground in a second.

Scratching and clawing, practically biting my way out of the situation, I found myself straddling her and pummeling her face.

"I want you to leave Jagger alone!"

All I heard were screams and shouts from God knows who and I couldn't stop myself—even when my vision blurred and I was crying because I was so mad.

Someone grabbed me by the waist and yanked me off of Samantha, pushing me to the ground. I suddenly felt them wrap their arms around me, rocking us back and forth and kissing my head.

"Let me go!"

Jagger peppered my face with kisses, looking me over to see if I was alright.

"Don't...Julia.."

"I'm pressing charges!"

We heard the sound of sirens in the distance and we once again found ourselves in a pickle.

"I won't..I won't let her hurt you anymore, Jagger.." I said, "I won't let any of them hurt you."
