{Y/N 2nd POV}
The car pulls up to base, tumbling left and right on the road as Soap maneuvers it back to its position. Somewhere behind all the cars, the two hop out y/n checking her seat before shutting the door closed. Soap was right, her "accident" did dry up by the time. Heading back inside through the front door was proven to be a challenge since it seemed like all of 141 was there in the living room huddled up. You step inside the door first to prevent anyone from getting the wrong idea. You knew you two were gone for a while, maybe they didn't notice.

"Y/n!"

Guess they did notice my absence...

"What's up?" You try to walk past everyone but Gaz is following after you so you turn around in your tracks to face him.

"Captain Price is radioing back to us, he has questions about Benning. We've been looking around for you for ages. Come on." Gaz holds your wrists and trails you back to where Ghost and a few others are. Keegan is surrounded by some othersoldiers, you glance around for König. He's hard to miss, maybe he had to head back after the mission. The radio that Keegan holds

"It's y/n, Captain." He talks into the radio, the voice tells Keegan to hand you the device. You take it from Keegan's hand and hold it up to your own mouth.

"Yes Captain."

"How are things?"

You press the button to let your frequency reach his, "Alright, is something up sir?"

There's a slight pause before his voice booms over the radio again.

"I might need you to embark with me as well, I will tell you more once you come here, I need a friendly face to continue scoping." Everyone around you stares at you for an answer, you weren't sure if this was a direct order or not, you didn't want to go out and continue missions. Sure your thigh was feeling better, but you had just gotten to a comfortable spot with Soap, you didn't want to risk that. But letting everyone else d own was even worse, given your circumstances on how you joined the team..

"Okay, the earliest I can get there is tomorrow afternoon if I pack tonight and leave in the early hours."

"Good enough, get on with it. I need to go."

You pass the radio back to Keegan so they can sign off together. You wiggle out of everyone's way to sit down on the couch, sighing. Soap walks up in front of you, offering an understanding smile before he sits down next to you.

"You gonna go?" His voice is intertwined with wariness.

"Have to..."

Soap places his hand on your thigh, trying to reassure you its fine and just your duty now that you're on the 141. Both of you smile at each other, Soap wasn't worried you wouldn't come back. He knew you would, it was the idea of Benning working for Makarov that sacred him. He didn't want you at risks of Makarovs men because of something he did.

Soap removes his hand and cough out loud when Ghost walks past you two, eyeing you up and down before glaring at Soap. He must've known something was up, dealing with his wraith later wasn't how you envisioned your night. Gaz sits by your side as well.

"Aren't you worried?" Gaz playful bumps your shoulder.

"Not even, you should look out for that old man Price." You bump him back as well, playfully joking with Gaz. He puts his hand up in a "mercy" position, palms facing up and by his head.
