They met by an uncharted rock: two captains seeking their fortune on the high seas. It was neutral territory, claimed only by the creatures that clung to its side.
"What do you offer?"
"I offer a pact of friendship between us."
"And what do you want?"
"To sail alongside you and your ship. To seek our destiny together. To share the good times - and the bad."
"Hmm."
"What do you say?"
"I say aye."
They embraced each other as brothers, then returned to their ships. With sails hoisted and flags raised, they weighed anchor and set off - sailing in consort.
