Summer of 1993

I woke up to the bright sun beating down on my face. It had been a couple days since summer break had started.

I decided to get up and get dressed, then decide what to do with the day from there.

So I went to the bathroom with my clothes, I had a pair of blue jeans and a pink t-shirt to go with it. I then changed and did my hair.

Then I went downstairs to find the house empty. This is how it normally was over summer, because of course, dad is busy at work all the time, and Mum has to go to work for the day, so I was by myself.

I walked into the kitchen to find waffle mix out for me to make and a note. I recognized the handwriting s my mum's

-Y/n, please make these waffles for breakfast. For lunch you can put together a fruit salad or yogurt parfait if you'd like. I will be home for dinner so I can cook you something then.

Your cousins, aunt, and uncle are coming over this afternoon so be ready.

Love you,

-Mum

I then put the note back and started taking out all the ingredients needed to make my waffles.

After they were done, I grabbed some syrup and butter, and decorated them.

Once I was done eating I put my dish in the sink, and scrubbed it with a sponge and soap.

I then went to Mum's desk, and grabbed a few pieces of spare parchment, along with a quill and ink pot.

I started to write each of my friends names on one side of the papers, then my message inside them.

After that, I walked to the Owlery Post office, and delivered my letters to them, since I didn't have an owl.

By the time I was done with all of that, it was already lunch time, since I had woken up at 9:15.

I grabbed some yogurt from the fridge, along with some blueberries and strawberries, and put them on the counter, mixing the berries in the yogurt.

I ate it as I read my new books I got.

As I was finishing up my yogurt parfait, I heard a knock on the door. It took me a second to realize who it was, but I then opened the door to my aunt, uncle, and cousins.

Aunt Marley, and Uncle Jerry came in with my cousin who now youngest to oldest were: Annie, was almost 2, William, 4 1/2, Danny, 6 1/2, Hazel, 8, Noel, about 9 1/2, Gabe, 10 1/2, and Emma was still about my age, so she was 12 1/12.

Emma was the only one who attended school right now, she attended Castelobruxo, which was in Brazil, where my cousins lived at the moment, but they were born in London.

When we all sat down in the living room, Aunt Marley started to talk to me about everything that's going on with me.

"So, how's Hogwarts? She asked.

"Oh it's great. I've made lots of friends there and the classes are honestly not all that boring, well except for History of Magic." I answer.

"Oh, wonderful to hear. Say, Y/n darling, I don't want to get everyone's hopes up, but we were thinking of moving back to London, so we might have our kids start at Hogwarts, since the schools are in good sports with each other," My aunt said.

"Really?!" I asked.

"Wait Mum, why didn't you tell me this? I'm going to lose all of my friends at Castelobruxo," Emma said.

"Oh honey don't worry, you can always write to them, and besides, it's not a for sure yet." Aunt Marley said.

Emma still seemed upset though.
