*The next day, the ninja went to see Neuro.*

"We need your help, Neuro," said Lloyd.

"You think I can get close to Chen to read his mind so you can find your robotic friend, a little girl, and not have to fight," said Neuro.

"Creepy," Nalia whispered.

"Don't forget—" Kai went on to speak but was cut off mid-sentence.

"You still need to know what Chen's up to because he's hiding something," said Neuro.

"That's really impressive, Nerdo." said Jay.

"It's Neuro, Master of the Mind. And Cole thinks Jay won't last long in a fight," said Neuro.

"Pfft. You think that?" Jay asked.

"You just said it yourself," said Cole.

"But you didn't have to believe it," said Jay.

"Don't be offended, Cole. Jay here thinks you're the least valuable ninja," said Neuro.

"You don't say." They start pushing each other.

"And Miss Starlight......" Neuro looked at Nalia for a good second as his eyes widened. "I don't wanna be the target of her rage, coming from her thoughts."

Nalia looked confused as she tilted her head slightly to the side. "Please stay out of my head, Neruo."

"We wanted you to help, Neuro, not make things worse," said Lloyd, wondering what kind of thoughts Nalia had that had shocked Neuro.

"But why would I help? You're competition. The sooner you're out, the better for me." said Neuro.

"If you want what's best for you, just look into my head, and you'll see what this tournament is all about." Neuro does and sees Lloyd's memory of Chen stealing Karloff's Metal and the talk about the little girl named Valez. "It's only a matter of time before Chen steals your power and possibly do whatever he did to Valez. So, are you in?"

"I'm in," said Neuro.

*Neuro goes inside the Kabukis' changing room.*

Chen laughs. "Not so tight."

Neuro looks over at Chen's corner, hoping to get some information.

Neuro saw Valez wrapped in an unusual metal chain. It wasn't vengstone wrapped around her as this metal was deep blood-red. To make the sight even more sickening, both of her arms were held up by each being stabbed through, with 3 of this metal turned into spikes. Holes were visibly seen in her arms, yet the girl couldn't even cry or show pain. Blood was steadily dripping down from the holes in her arm and onto the floor or her legs.

Valez's face was now even shown. She had multitudes of varying scars, some fresh, some old, all over her face. Blood was even falling out of some of the very fresh cuts, and it entered her mouth sometimes. Her eyes were bright gold but showed just pain and emotionless apathy. On her forehead was a bright white gemstone, certainly the control stone Clouse or Chen had used on her.

Chen then looked at his emotionless and obedient puppet of Valez. "Oh! I can't believe how easy she is! Forced to watch all of this torture to her, it's wonderous!" Chen stated as if he was happy and proud of this. "A shame that her power can't be stolen! I'm starting to doubt she even has power!" Chen said with annoyance now.
