Cole and Kai were training Valez in the dojo of the bounty. It had been 6 months since the ninjas gained Valez onto the team and learned many new things about Ninjago. Valez, to some of the surprises of the ninjas, but not most, was a very good fighter for her age. It was to be expected as she was forcefully Chen's prized fighter, but there was something about her attacks that no one could seem to understand.

Each time Valez hit one of the ninjas in a spar, they felt they had lost something they couldn't return with each strike. It was hard for the ninjas to piece together or understand, but after the fight, it felt like the thing they had lost was suddenly back, and it wasn't easy to understand.

"Nice! You're getting better with that spear, Val!" Cole exclaimed, using a metal scythe he had been given from Wu to help Valez with her training.

"Thank you, elder bro Cole!" Valez said back. After months with the ninja, Wu instructed Nalia and Nya to help with Valez's speaking. Nalia sometimes couldn't help due to her schedule, so Nya would substitute in. Thanks to these sessions, Valez was definitely showing improvement with her speech.

Kai was watching the fight, as he was only meant to intervene when Cole had lost, or something unexpected happened. There was only one instance so far where the ninjas witnessed Valez go sicko with rage all of a sudden. Sensei Wu had to knock out the poor girl with a special dust he had gotten from Mystake's shop. Wu nor Garmadon couldn't explain what her cause was as anything that would have triggered her was happening, so it's been a mystery as to why that happened, but they were prepared for the instances.

Just then, a bell rang in the bounty's dojo. "Ah! That's the lunch break bell, cmon Val! It's Zane's turn to make lunch today!" Cole told his sparring and training partner. Both fighters now stood back and bowed to each other in respect for their duel.

The group then walked to the new area they had bought with many of Chen's stolen jewels.

After the whole fiasco at Chen's island, the god they met, Shutendoji, split all of Chen's most prized and valuable treasures they had, giving all the masters and participants a ton of cash they could now have. The ninjas had been given around 901,675,000 Yen in total from the Chen valuables they had been given. The money was under Sensei Wu and Garmadon's management, and the ninjas were given it when needed.

The ninjas had gotten a lovely property they used as living quarters, a tea field, and headquarters when needed. It was deep in Morgan Heights, so they had a perfect hiding place for headquarters. Overall, they had a lovely place to call home now. They also had very advanced technology and materials for the house itself, so they wouldn't have repeats of it being destroyed in any way.

*At the dining room, 2F*

Cole, Kai, and Valez had now entered the dining room they mainly used for lunch on the 2nd floor. Everyone, even Nalia, was there for lunch right now. Nalia had been given a 3-month break from Mr. James because she introduced him to Valez, and it was also used as a break to help get things set up for Valez's first concert with Nalia. This was the 3rd-week mark for Nalia's break, so it was nice for them all to have her around for such a long time.
