S4-5 Interval 1: New Family

*At the hospital, the ninja and Nalia are visiting Valez.*

Valez was in an anesthetic-forced coma, anesthesia constantly being added to one of her seven I.V.s on her left arm. Valez had life-support machines on her, seemingly at all times, in the I.C.U. clean room she was in. Valezs was still in critical condition due to Chen's torture. The group looked from a glass window as that was the only way to see their new family member.

The six other I.V.s Valez had on her body were to give her much-needed blood. It was frankly unbelievable how she had survived for 3 years with constant blood loss, yet she didn't even die.

Multitudes of doctors, nurses, surgeons, and other medical professionals surrounded her and slowly and carefully tended to all her injuries, including those that were not visible under her attire from Clouse and Chen.

"I still can't believe they did this to a little girl," said Kai, since he and Zane had been the ones carrying her to the hospital.

"Those two were sick in their heads, that's for sure," said Cole with a slight sigh as he crossed his arms.

"I hope she'll feel better when she finally wakes up," Jay said with concern.

"I wish we could do more to help her," said Nalia, pulling at her scarf since she had been singing a few songs to her whenever she got the chance when others weren't around in hopes of healing her injuries, but some of them were too severe to recover. They were taking too much of her energy.

"The best we can do for her right now is to wait and watch over her to make sure she is okay," said Lloyd, holding Nalia's hand as they tried comforting each other.

Just then, one of the surgeons assigned to Valez turned around and looked at a screen. The group couldn't see what was on the screen, as it was hidden, nor could they hear any sound from it.

The surgeon then gave a slight nod to all the other doctors of varying professions. Judging by this surgeon's body language, it was good news.

The surgeon then exited Valez's I.C.U. care unit room. He re-entered the cleaning room before Valez's room, changed out of his clean room attire and back into his doctor's coat, and walked out of the room and towards Valez's family.

"What's going on? Is she okay?" Lloyd was the first to question the surgeon.

"I wouldn't use "okay," The surgeon told Lloyd, gaining some concerned looks before continuing.

"She's finally in stable condition and will remain in it. She will be more than "okay" now." The surgeon told them the excellent news.

The group sighed, relieved, and smiled at each other, happy about hearing this good news after so long.

"When do you think we'll be able to go in and see her?" Nalia asked, hoping it would be sooner rather than later.

"Funnily enough, I'd say about six hours, and you'll finally be able to see her. We must do some last checks and bring her into an official I.C.U. room, as we can't have visitors in clean rooms," the surgeon explained to them before continuing. "A nurse will bring you to her new room," he said with a smile on his face.
