Sanemi's POV

'Was he flirting with me?'

I couldn't stop thinking about it, the way he leaned in that close and whispered in my ear. The thought of him pissed me off, or at least it used to, now I can only think about how he completely called my bluff in the sexiest way possible. So on one hand I was thinking about how he left a fish to grow fur under my bed but on the other hand he was kind of pretty damn fine.

Obanai insisted on sanitizing the room so he had us both up pretty late as he scrubbed the spot that had already been scrapped of the mold and fur like five times. The smell was still pretty bad so the window was open even though it was a cold autumn night.

"You know that obsessively cleaning that spot won't get rid of the smell right?" I said from my desk chair, my bed was pulled out of its spot between the closet and my dresser on the other side so that Obanai could clean away to his heart's content.

"I know, but it'll make me feel slightly better to clean it one more time," he sighed as he scrubbed at the floor. The strange thing was that when we got back from school the smell was completely overwhelming whereas that very morning I could barely smell it. I had started to smell the fish though neither of us knew it was fish, last night. I thought it was just the laundry but Obanai was adamant that it wasn't, pains me to say he was right.

When we got back from school today the smell was too repulsive to ignore so we tore apart the room trying to find the origin of the dam smell. We found it, Obanai completely lost it, he almost threw up. And it would've been funny had I not been distracted with trying to get rid of the fish. I decided to pick up the fish with a plastic bag on my hand and race it outside to throw it out in one of the outside trash cans so that it wouldn't stink up the entire building.

"It's getting late, let's just go to sleep," I yawned as I worked on some homework.

"Just a few more minutes," he sighed as he continued with his cleaning, "this is so gross, why do you think Tomioka did this?"

"I don't think it was because I poured ink on him while he was in the shower, that fish has been marinating longer than that," I mumbled.

"Wait, that was you!?"

"It must have been either the laundry or the dirt that caused him to do this," I said, "I've got to get back at him."

"What the hell is your problem!?" he yelled, "You started some sort of blood feud with Tomioka!?

"I can't just let him win, this is not something I will stand for as long as I live," I huffed, "Now help me think of a revenge plan," I said as I shoved away my homework and looked back at him.

"I'm not getting involved in this mess, you're on your own for this one," he snapped at me from the ground. "And I thought you said that you could take him on your own?"

"I can, but I still need at least a little extra brain power to one up him," I told him.

"I'm sure you'll figure it out," he hummed, "you never cease to out-stupid someone, it's like your special skill somehow."

"One: I'm not stupid, and two: being stupid isn't a skill," I said as I started getting changed into my pajamas.

"I used to think that too, before I met you of course."

I was working out in the gym, trying to think of a way to get back at Tomioka. I had to think of something clever before he got me back for the ink, I thought of something. But it would take a long time to set up, so I needed quite the distraction, a lot of plastic cups and a lot of water. Something to really fuck with him after a long day of school.
