Morning sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating Su Hyang's peaceful face.

Niki's eyes sparkled as he gazed at her, his smile tender.

He leaned in, his lips brushing against her ear. "Good morning, beautiful."

Su Hyang's eyes fluttered open, her cheeks instantly flushing.

"Morning," she stammered, her voice husky.

Niki's chuckle sent shivers down her spine.

Just then, Jin Ho's voice echoed from the doorway. "Hey, Niki! I'm heading out. See you next time!"

Niki nodded, still smiling at Su Hyang.

Jin Ho approached, his eyes twinkling. "Take care of pretty Su Hyang," he said, patting her head.

Su Hyang's flush deepened, her heart racing.

Niki's gaze narrowed slightly, his eyes locked onto Jin Ho's hand.

"Bye, Jin Ho," Su Hyang muttered, her voice barely audible.

As Jin Ho left, Niki's attention returned to Su Hyang.

"Sleep well?" he asked, his voice low.

Su Hyang nodded, her eyes avoiding his.

Niki's fingers traced her cheek, his touch sending shivers.

"I had a great night," he whispered.

Su Hyang's face burned, her thoughts whirling.

Niki guided Su Hyang to the hall, his hand gently wrapping around her wrist.

She felt a flutter at his touch, her heart beating faster.

He led her to the couch, helping her sit before settling beside her.

Niki's eyes locked onto hers, his expression serious.

"Su Hyang, don't you want to join university or school?" he asked.

Su Hyang's gaze dropped, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I don't know...I haven't thought about it."

Niki's fingers intertwined with hers, his touch reassuring.

"Why not? You're smart and talented," he encouraged.

Su Hyang shrugged, her shoulders sagging.

Su Hayang's voice trembled. "I don't want to go because...my step-sister and step-brother will be there."

Niki's expression turned concerned. "What's wrong with them?"

Su Hyang's eyes dropped, her words spilling out.

"They always disturb me, annoy me...make my life miserable."

Niki's grip on her hand tightened.

"Why do you put up with it?" he asked, his voice low and protective.

Su Hyang shrugged, feeling helpless.

"They're my family...I'm stuck with them."

Niki's jaw clenched.

Su Hyang's voice barely above a whisper, "I finished school...I need to go to university now, but..."

Niki's eyes locked onto hers, encouraging.

"...but what?" he prompted softly.

Su Hyang's words tumbled out, laced with fear.

"I'm scared, Niki. My step-brother and step-sister...they'll be there too."
