Niki sat beside Su Hyang, his eyes locked on her peaceful face.
He gently held her hand, massaging it with tender care.
"Wake up, Su Hyang," he whispered.
Niki's thumb traced circles on her palm.
Su Hyang's fingers felt fragile, her skin pale.
Niki's gaze roamed over her features.
Her eyelids fluttered.
"Su Hyang?" Niki's voice trembled.
Su Hyang's eyes snapped open, her body jolting upright.
"Ahh!" she screamed, terror etched on her face.
Niki's hands swiftly wrapped around her shoulders.
"Su Hyang, it's okay. I'm here," he soothed.
"Wh-what happened?" Su Hyang stuttered.
"You're safe now," Niki reassured. "Jeon Woo's gone. You're in my mansion."
Su Hyang's wild gaze locked onto Niki's calm face.
She lunged forward, embracing him tightly.
Niki enveloped her in his arms, holding her close.
"I've got you," he whispered. "You're safe."
Su Hyang's body trembled, fear still gripping her.
Niki's gentle strokes on her back comforted her.
"I won't let anyone hurt you," he vowed.
Su Hyang's face buried in Niki's chest.
Tears streamed down her cheeks.
Su Hyang's grip on Niki loosened.
She pushed herself away, eyes downcast.
"Sorry, Niki," she whispered.
Niki's expression softened.
"What's wrong, Su Hyang?"
Su Hyang's voice trembled.
"I was scared...I didn't mean to hug you."
Niki's gaze searched hers.
"You don't have to apologize," he said gently.
Su Hyang's eyes darted up, fear lingering.
"I know you're...strict," she stammered. "I didn't mean to cross boundaries."
Niki's face relaxed.
"Su Hyang, you're safe with me," he reassured.
"I won't hurt you."
Su Hyang's gaze lingered, uncertainty evident.
Niki's hands opened, palms up.
"Come here," he coaxed. "You're shaking."
Su Hyang hesitated.
Niki's gentle tone put her at ease.
She came closer.
Niki wrapped his arms around her.
"This is just comfort," he whispered. "Nothing more."
Su Hyang's body trembled uncontrollably.
Fever racked her frame, weakening her.
Niki's concerned gaze watched her sway.
"Su Hyang, you're burning up," he whispered.
Su Hyang's dizziness overwhelmed her.
She collapsed onto the pillow.
