Welcome to this little blog of mine (if that's the right word for this). No, this isn't any story or poetry collection—it's just my Bookish Rants, my take on books and tropes, and my thoughts on Wattpad and beyond.
To introduce myself, you all can call me Cherry, because that's unintentionally become my name on Instagram. I have an Instagram account where I post Wattpad recs and reviews. Recently, I've put reviewing on hold for a bit, but I wanted to have a space where I could freely rant about books and hear what others think about them too.
If I were to tell you about my reading journey on Wattpad, it's been almost 2-3 years now. I started with fan-fictions (I'm a bit embarrassed to even mention the types I've read), then moved on to werewolf books, and eventually ended up diving into the arranged marriage trope! About 4 months ago, I decided to start my Instagram page, and it's been quite the ride since.
I want this blog to be a space for all of us to chat, share opinions, and get into some lively discussions. Feel free to drop your thoughts in the comments—don't hold back! And if you ever feel like I've missed something or am off-track, you're welcome to correct me—just please keep it polite.
Before anyone comes at me with, 'Oh, so why do you have those books in your reading list? Hypocrite much?' let's clear a few things up. I'm not pretending to be some saint who's never been sucked into these kinds of stories and tropes—I've read my fair share, trust me. But does that mean I'm out here flaunting my love for them? No.
My reading lists are public, and if anyone's feeling extra nosy, even my 'private' library is there in my 'reading rn' list. So yes, I have read these tropes, but no, I'm not on a mission to worship them.
This blog is meant to be a place for open-minded discussions, a learning experience for myself and others, and hopefully just a fun way to connect with fellow book lovers.
