9. I'm taking over you • | • Multicouple

Once again, no real connection between the lyric and the trope, but I think we've established by now that I pick these lyrics based on pure vibes.

And trust me, multicouple stories are vibes. There's something magical about diving into a book that features not one, but multiple love stories, each with its own unique journey.

Also, no matter how captivating the other couples are, the elder ones always steal my heart. (It's probably an elder-child thing!)

My first multicouple read was Rawat Brides, and let's just say I've lost track of how many times I've re-read the elder couple's proposal scene. It's pure slow-burn gold—doctor x doctor, both elder siblings. Chef's kiss.

I highly recommend checking out Kalam, Khwahish, and Qayamat from the Mangoverse series (though note Rihai is a mafia romance). The Enchanted series also makes an appearance, but for a deep dive into each couple, that's a whole other episode!

10. You are the cause of my euphoria •| • Grumpy X Sunshine

Finally, a lyric that fits the trope perfectly! In a Grumpy X Sunshine dynamic, the sunshine character is literally the cause of the grumpy one's happiness—and it's such a heartwarming, feel-good theme. You'll notice from the books in this list that I am, indeed, a sucker for this trope.

Some gems to check out: Alette, For Jakob, Arc-en-ciel, Mending secrets, Yours Forever (warning, they have four kids by the end—skip the bonus scenes if you're not into that). If you've read Lilah, let me tell you—Alette and For Jakob are like upgraded versions, with smoother writing and utterly devoted leads. Pure perfection.

And if you're after a reverse take on the trope (sunshine x grumpy), try Crush Culture. One of the couples in Hasratein also nails it, with a surprising twist involving the FL doing the grovelling—not your usual Grumpy X Sunshine dynamic!

11. Love me at my lowest • |• Enemies to Lovers

This lyric is absolutely tailor-made for the Enemies to Lovers trope. After all, these characters often witness each other at their absolute lowest before building up to a powerful love. It's raw, messy, and oh so captivating.

For recommendations, check out the books in this trope—just avoid Knox and The Prodigy.

12. Just let me love you • | • Slow burn
