Summoned

Yusho was on his way home from a long day of teaching at You Show, very eager to see his family. He was quite happy with his boys, even Yuri. Truth be told, he'd always wanted a big family, and now he'd gotten his wish. He had four sons now, very satisfying!

Yusho walked into his house, and heard the sound of his boys talking in the upstairs hallway. Or at least he thought they were talking. But the closer he got to the stairs, the more he could make out what they were saying. They appeared to be chanting rather than just speaking.

Blinking, Yusho went upstairs, where he was confronted with the weirdest thing in his life. Yuto, Yuri, Yugo, and Yuya were all sitting in a circle around a circle of some of Yusho's favorite cards in his deck, with one of his top hats in the center. The four counterparts were chanting "When you feel like crying, just laugh" over and over again. And as Yusho watched, Yuya got up and touched the thermostat with one finger while the four boys were still chanting.

"What... is going on here...?" Yusho asked, bewildered. The four boys jumped and stared at him with wide eyes as Yuya shrieked, "I TOLD YOU IT WOULD WORK!" Yuto and Yugo just stared at Yusho in shock. Yuri, meanwhile, screamed and scrambled backwards with a horrified look on his face.

"Okay, what were you boys doing?" Yusho asked. Yuya took a few deep breaths, calming himself down a little, before saying, "I found a video online on how to summon a dad. So we customized it to see if we could summon you. And apparently it worked!"

He showed his father the video, and Yusho chuckled. His boys were so silly! "So, is there any particular reason why you wanted to summon me?"

"Th-the air conditioner in our room is broken or something..." Yuri mumbled. He appeared to be genuinely spooked by the fact that he and his counterparts had apparently managed to actually summon Yusho like a ghost.

Yusho ruffled Yuri's cabbage hair. "I'll fix it. It may take a few days, though. In the meantime, you boys can stay in the guest bedroom so you don't get heatstroke."

He walked towards the boys' room to check out the broken air conditioner, and heard them start whispering amongst themselves. It seemed that none of them had actually expected their "Dad Summoning Ritual" to actually work.
