Eventually the boys returned home, refreshed and happy from their beach day. Yoko was waiting for them in the kitchen with the homemade ice cream she'd promised them for dinner. When she saw their wet hair, she smiled at them. "Beach day?" she asked.
"Yeah, it was a lot of fun!" Yuya replied happily. "We got to do some swimming, Yuto and I made a few sand sculptures, and Yugo and Yuri splashed each other."
"Yuri bought me some taiyaki!" Yugo said happily. Yuri had kept his word of buying the blunana a snack if he put him down, despite the fact that said blunana had put him down in the cold water.
"Well, why don't you boys go ahead and have a shower to clean the salt water out of your hair, and then you can have your ice cream dinner," Yoko said. The boys cheered and hurried upstairs, popping into their room to grab a change of clothes. There, they saw Yusho working on the air conditioner. There was a floor fan in the room with a wet towel on it, cooling the room enough for it to not be so unbearably hot.
"Oh, hi boys!" Yusho said when the boys came in. "I think I've figured out the problem. But it's going to take a while to fix. You'll definitely have to stay in the guest room overnight. But I should have it fixed by tomorrow evening."
"Okay, thanks Dad!" Yuya said.
