It was yet another test series before they leave for the world Cup and this was against England. Ziva's 'favourite' team. Note the sarcasm.
Aashika had been getting on everyone nerves lately. Including there coach, Smriti. She made many changes in the team. She benched Arya and Neha. She changed the batting line up. Just a hurricane in short.
The first series, Aashika chose to ball first after winning the toss. And England batted for an entire 1.5 day giving them a score of 402 runs.
Sam and Aashika came out to open since the opener had been now on number 3. Despite Aashika's few classic shots and small partnership of 36 runs she threw away her wicket sooner.
Next, Sam and the next batsman made a partnership of 100 runs with Sam on 72 runs.
But her partners wicket fell and Vamika walked in. The two batted till 3rd day giving India a sum of 146-2.
Sadly, at the end of the third day, Sam and Vami both got out. And India got all out for 273 runs. New Zealand took the lead to another 130 runs before India came to bat. They did try to secure the lead but they lost by 93 runs.
A crushing defeat just before the WC isn't what they were looking forward too. The girls were more motivated now to make there comeback in the second test.
Meanwhile-
Arya, Nidhu, Sam and Vami were inside Arya and Nidhu's room discussing something very important.
"We need to stop that bitch from playing the next match" Nidhu said as the others looked at her horrified.
"We can't kill her Nidhu di!!!" Sam said worriedly, "Whyyyyy??" Vami whined.
"But we can stop her egoistic ass" Nidhu smirked as Arya narrowed her eyes at her best friend. "Nidhu this better not be illegal"
"Oh don't worry it's not" hehe.
Lobby-
Aashika was sipping on her coffee while scrolling through her phone texting someone when Sam can there grinning.
"Hi Aashika Di!!" Aashika put on a smile on her face and said-"Hi Sam!"
"Look Di! I got you a cheesecake! It's your favourite isn't??" Sam said grinning, Nidhu, Arya and Vami watched the scene while hiding behind a vase.
"Oh that's so sweet Sam!!" Aashika gushed taking the cheesecake and munching on it making the two hidden hooligans cheer but Arya hushed them quickly.
"Ye kaisa awaj thi??" Aashika asked looking around as Sam said-"Nothing di! I'll be back" and she ran away joining the girls as they laughed and celebrated there small victory.
The girls were passing by the gym when they noticed someone inside. Vami frowned whereas the other 3 knew why the person was in this late.
"Why is Ziva di overworking herself??" Vami asked worriedly, "Cause it's England. Ziva's favourite team" Nidhu said sarcastically.
"She got out pretty soon and like all of us, she thinks it's her fault. Ironically she always tells us it's the team effort that either wins or loose" Arya said.
"And that's not the only reason. Audrey Brown is" Sam said as Vamika looked at her curiously.
"There Captain?? Oh how can I forget there epic rivalry" Vami said in realisation. "Well by how aggressively Audrey celebrated when Ziva got out. She was just riling her up" Arya said as Vamika nodded.
"Btw it's WPL auction next week! Audrey did get retained by RCB didn't she??" Vami asked as the other three raised there brows. "What??"
"Are you a fan of her Vamika??" Sam asked teasingly as Vamu blushed, "Maybe"
