Without Jenna's teasing filling your days, the weeks slowly turned into months. Life at home felt quieter, almost unnervingly so, without her constant presence. You and Jenna maintained almost daily FaceTime calls, catching up on everything from her long days on set to the little victories and challenges of your own work. Her face on your screen was a small comfort, but it never quite matched the warmth of having her next to you.

Work kept you busy during the weekdays, a welcome distraction from the ache of missing her. But weekends? Those were the hardest. You'd spend lonely days curled up on the couch, watching movies you couldn't fully enjoy because they always reminded you of the time you'd spent with her.

Your apartment, once a place of comfort, became a space filled with memories of Jenna. Every corner held a piece of her—the way she leaned against the kitchen counter while teasing you, the scent of her perfume lingering in the air, the spot on the couch where she'd curl up and rest her head on your chest.

You hated how dependent you'd become on one woman. It wasn't like you, this feeling of longing that left you restless and vulnerable. But Jenna wasn't just anyone. She'd made you fall, hard, and the emotions she stirred in you were unlike anything you'd felt before.

It was a lazy Saturday afternoon, and you were lounging in your pajamas, controller in hand, button-mashing your way through a video game to distract yourself. You were fully immersed in the gameplay, the sounds of the game filling the room, when the unexpected chime of your doorbell echoed through the apartment.

You frowned, caught off guard. You weren't expecting anyone. Pausing the game and pushing off the couch, you padded toward the door, your mind running through possible deliveries or unexpected visits.

As soon as you opened the door, Jenna was there, standing with her suitcase and a wide grin that lit up her entire face. Before you could even process her surprise arrival, she dropped her bag and threw herself into your arms, wrapping her arms tightly around your neck. You stumbled back slightly from the force, laughing as you steadied yourself.

"Miss me?" she teased, pulling back just enough to look into your eyes.

"Not at all," you shot back with a smirk, though your arms tightened around her, betraying your words. "Who are you again?"

Jenna rolled her eyes, but her grin only widened. "Oh, don't even try to act cool. I know you've been crying yourself to sleep without me."

"Maybe a little," you admitted with a playful shrug, unable to stop smiling. "But in my defense, you're very hard to replace."

"Damn right I am," she quipped, then leaned in and pressed her lips to yours in a kiss that instantly melted away every lonely moment of the past few months.

When the kiss ended, you rested your forehead against hers, a soft chuckle escaping you. "I can't believe you're really here. You didn't even warn me. Do you know how embarrassing it is to greet you in pajama pants with pizza stains on them?"

Jenna glanced down at your pants and burst out laughing. "It's endearing. Very on-brand for you."

You groaned dramatically but couldn't stop yourself from laughing too. "I missed this. I missed you."

Her teasing demeanor softened, and she cupped your face, her thumb brushing against your cheek. "I missed you too. More than I can even put into words."

You pulled her closer again, burying your face in her hair and breathing in the familiar scent of her shampoo. It felt surreal to have her in your arms again after months of seeing her only through a screen.

Jenna tilted her head up to kiss your jawline, her voice dropping to a whisper. "I hated being away from you. But I'm here now, and I don't plan on letting go anytime soon."
