The house was filled with the sweet scent of freshly baked cake and the soft hum of morning activity. Today was a special day-Kaira's birthday. She stood by the window, gazing out at the clear blue sky, already feeling the excitement bubbling up. The day had just begun, but she could sense it was going to be full of surprises.

As she walked into the kitchen, her mom handed her a plate of warm parathas, smiling brightly. "Happy birthday, Kaira! Hope your day is as amazing as you are."

"Thanks, Mom!" Kaira grinned, reaching for the paratha. Just then, her dad walked in holding a small, carefully wrapped envelope.

"Here you go, birthday girl," her dad said with a twinkle in his eye.

Kaira's heart skipped a beat as she took the envelope. Her dad had a way of making everything feel exciting, even the simplest gifts. She carefully opened it, her eyes widening as she pulled out a match ticket.

She looked up at her dad, stunned. "Wait... is this... a ticket to the Gujarat Titans match?"

Her dad chuckled, his eyes filled with affection. "You've been talking about it non-stop since you heard Shubman Gill was playing. Thought you'd enjoy it."

Kaira's heart fluttered. A live match! And to top it off, Shubman Gill would be there. She couldn't believe it. "This is the best gift ever, Dad!" she exclaimed, hugging him tightly.

Her mom, smiling at the exchange, added, "I figured this birthday would be something special. Go and enjoy, Kaira. You deserve it."

Kaira could hardly contain her excitement. "I can't wait to see him in action! I've been dreaming about this for months!"

Her dad laughed, giving her a playful nudge. "Just don't get too distracted by your cricketer crush while you're there, okay?"

Kaira blushed but couldn't hide her grin. "I'll try my best!"

Kaira placed the ticket carefully on the table, her excitement bubbling over. She couldn't stop smiling as she looked at her dad.

"I still can't believe you got me this!" Kaira said, her eyes shining with happiness. "This is like a dream come true!"

Her dad chuckled, leaning back in his chair. "I know how much you've been following Shubman. Thought you deserved a little celebration, especially after finishing your semester project so well."

Kaira beamed, feeling the warmth of her family's love. "Thanks, Dad. This means the world to me. I'll make sure to cheer extra loud for Gujarat Titans-no distractions," she added with a wink, as she teased herself about her crush on Shubman.

Her mom smiled knowingly. "Just don't get too caught up in the match. We'll be waiting for you at home with cake after all the excitement."

Her younger brother, Arjun, smirked from across the table. "Yeah, Kaira. Don't get too starstruck, okay? Remember to come back in one piece."

Kaira rolled her eyes, throwing a piece of fruit at him playfully. "Oh, please. You'll be watching the match with me, too, right? I know you secretly like cricket."

"Only if I can sit next to you when Shubman hits a six," Arjun teased.

Kaira laughed. "Deal! But you better cheer for Gujarat, or else you're on your own!"

Her dad joined in, raising his cup of tea. "Looks like it's going to be a fun match. Enjoy every moment, Kaira. You've earned it."

"Thanks, Dad," Kaira said, her voice soft with gratitude. "This birthday is already the best one yet."

Her mom added, "And don't forget to take lots of pictures. We want to hear all about it when you get home!"

Kaira nodded eagerly, her mind already racing ahead to the match. "I'll make sure to capture every moment-especially the ones where Shubman's batting."

Arjun groaned. "Here we go again with the Shubman talk."

Kaira stuck her tongue out at him but was already dreaming of the upcoming match. Today was going to be a day to remember.

The morning flew by in a blur of excitement as Kaira raced through her preparations for the big day. The match was in a few hours, and she had a lot to do before she could leave. She stood in front of her wardrobe, her heart racing with anticipation, trying to pick the perfect outfit.

"Should I wear the Gujarat Titans jersey or just something comfortable?" she wondered aloud, holding up two options. Her mind kept drifting back to the match. Shubman Gill would be there, playing on the field-she could hardly contain her excitement.

Her phone buzzed on the bed, and Kaira quickly glanced at it. A message from her best friend, Meera, popped up:

Meera: "You're going to see Shubman today?! OMG. Don't forget to take a selfie with him!"

Kaira laughed, replying quickly: "I'll try, but no promises! I'm just going to enjoy the match first!"

As she put her phone down, her mom walked in with a plate of her favorite snacks-fruit chaat and samosas, all neatly packed in a small bag. "I thought you might need some snacks during the match. You know, for energy," her mom said, handing her the bag with a knowing smile.

Kaira grinned. "Thanks, Mom! You know me so well."

Just then, her dad popped his head into the room. "Hey, I've already arranged the ride to the stadium. We should leave in about an hour."

Kaira's heart skipped a beat. "Okay, I'll be ready in 10 minutes!" She quickly grabbed her Gujarat Titans cap from the shelf, putting it on with a wide smile.

Her brother Arjun peeked in, raising an eyebrow. "I can't believe you're actually going to see him live. I swear, you're going to faint the moment he hits a six."

Kaira shot him a playful glare. "Shut up, Arjun! I'm going to cheer like a normal fan."

But in her heart, she knew there was no such thing as a normal fan moment when it came to Shubman Gill. The excitement was palpable.

As Kaira finished getting ready, she took one last look in the mirror. Her heart raced in anticipation-today was her birthday, yes, but it also felt like the perfect day for a dream come true. Shubman Gill, the man of her daydreams, would be on the field, and she would be there to witness it all.

She took a deep breath and texted her friends one last time: "I'm about to leave! So excited I could burst!!"

And with that, she grabbed her bag, kissed her mom goodbye, and rushed out the door.
