The morning sun was a soft golden glow, stretching across the horizon as Kaira hummed along to the melody that played softly from the car's radio. The hum of the engine beneath her was comforting, almost like a rhythm that matched her heartbeat. She drove with an easy smile, thinking of the day ahead, her mind somewhere between the comfort of her car and the anticipation of the busy day at college.

She glanced briefly at her phone, resting in the cupholder, but didn't reach for it. Her hands stayed firm on the steering wheel as she made her way through the familiar streets of Mumbai, the city she called home.

"Just one more turn," she murmured to herself, preparing for the final stretch of the drive to her college campus. The streets were bustling with activity as the day began, people hurrying to work, cars speeding down the roads, the usual chaos of the morning. But Kaira felt a calmness, a sense of contentment. The day felt perfect.

Her father had reluctantly agreed to let her drive on her own today, but it wasn't the first time. She had driven the car countless times, each journey more familiar than the last. Her father's worries were always there, but she had grown accustomed to them. Still, today, she couldn't help but feel a little freer, a little more independent.

She turned the wheel, her car gliding down a quieter street now, the buildings narrowing, the traffic thinning. The road ahead looked clear, the light green as she approached an intersection.

And then, in the blink of an eye, everything changed.

The deafening screech of tires tore through the air as a massive truck came out of nowhere, speeding toward her. Kaira's eyes widened in panic. She had no time to react, no time to swerve or brake. The truck was too close. Her foot slammed onto the brake, but it was already too late.

The impact was immediate, sending her car into a violent spin. The world outside blurred, a chaotic mess of colors and sounds as the truck's front bumper hit the side of her car. The tires screeched, metal groaned in protest, and the next moment, her car flipped-once, twice-before crashing with a sickening thud against the road. The sound of crumpling metal and shattering glass echoed in her ears. The world around her spun wildly.

She could barely comprehend what was happening. Everything felt out of control. The airbag deployed with a sudden force, pushing her back against the seat, and the world seemed to slow down just before it came to a violent halt.

For a few seconds, the only sound was the ringing in her ears. Kaira's vision swam in and out of focus as she tried to make sense of her surroundings. Pain coursed through her body, and she winced, trying to move, but something felt wrong.

Her head felt heavy, her limbs numb, and the sharp pain in her chest made it hard to breathe. The weight of her body pressed against the seatbelt, holding her in place. She couldn't remember how to move, how to get out. The car was mangled, twisted beyond recognition, and she felt a rising panic in her chest as the moments passed, the realization hitting her that she wasn't sure if she could get out of this.

Struggling to keep her eyes open, she could hear the distant sounds of people shouting. The faint hum of sirens seemed to be coming closer, but everything felt so far away. The world around her seemed to dim, as if the air itself had thickened, and she fought to stay conscious.

In a blurry daze, she could see figures approaching her car. Some were calling for help, others were moving around the wreckage, but the pain in her head kept her from processing anything clearly. Everything was becoming a blur of voices, lights, and distant murmurs.

She tried to speak, to call out, but no sound came from her mouth. All she could do was wait, trapped inside the mangled wreck of her car, the world spinning out of control.
