"But it's not your fault everyone is in danger! They want me! They-- t-they--"
Tok felt his voice break off as the moonlight washed over him, drenching his mind in something else. Some strange feeling, some... compulsion. He stared up at the moon, so large and white, strangely unable to look away. He barely felt his body break away from Heros, step forward despite the pain, just to get closer to the moon...
Tok felt the pearl pulsing in his back, felt the sinister presence he'd only known at the castle start to course through him now.
No. He suddenly thought, panic rising up inside. But he couldn't move-- his entire body was paralyzed by the moonlight, the calm of it dampening his panic and threatening to numb his mind completely.
Not my preferred vessel. The chilling voice was in his head, taking over his thoughts, Weak. Injured. A child. But make no mistake, you will do for my purposes. You will do. Welcome to my service, Glass Serpent.
Tok felt his body begin to move on its own, out of his control, but then everything went black.
