We all ran out the mess room and attacked Zero and Caveman with hugs
"Oh man, we thought you were dead for sure!" i exclaimed, repeating zig's statement
"You guys smell worse than me!" exclaimed armpit
"Yeah, You guys smell like onions." Magnet added
i noticed the warden was talking to a short Hispanic woman and a guy with a cowboy hat carrying a breifcase. They were both wearing business suits.
"Stanley, let's go your parent's are waiting" she said sternly. She had a bit of a New York accent
"I can't leave without hector" He responded
She then spoke more softly to him
"There's nothing i can do for your friend, stanley"
"I'm not leaving without him." He responded. He stood by Zero
The lady looked at the guy with the cowboy hat
"Get Hector's file"
He turned to the warden
"Miss Walker?" He asked
She turned to Pendanski
"Get me the file of, Hector Zeroni"
He didn't move
"Just do it!" She demanded
He walked into Mr. Sir's office and came out a few seconds later
"There seems to be no file of Hector Zeroni"
The woman looked at the warden
"Is that so?" she asked
"What kinda camp you runnin' here?" The man with the cowboy hat asked
"A good one." replied the warden "If the state would give us money for decent filing."
"I am ordering an investigation of the facility"
"What?!"
Another guy got out of cowboy hat's car
"Dave, put these 2 bozos over there so we can show them the other side of the criminal justice system"
"Excuse me!?!" The guy shoved the warden onto the bench that Pendanski and Mr.Sir were sitting on.
"Don't push me! i'm a lady!"
We all laughed and cheered
The woman turned to Caveman and Zero
"C'mon Hector, your coming with us" she said with a slight smile
We then heard rumbling overhead
No, it couldn't be.
it was rain
It came crashing down like it hasn't in a hundred years
we all ran out into the rain and cheered
It was awesome, the cool feeling drenched us quickly while we ran, sang, and cheered
i found zigzag
"So, this is what camp feels like huh?" i asked him with a smile
"You know it." He leaned in and kissed me long and slow.
Caveman, Zero, and Caveman's lawyer drove off in the car
Twitch ran after the car. his arms reaching for it
Squid yanked him back
"Let it go Twitch!!" He laughed. As we all said goodbye to Caveman and Zero.
