"Κάνει πολύ κρύο." ("It's very cold.")

Ben himself was rubbing his arms, clenching his teeth to keep them from chattering. "...Ναι." ("...Yeah.")

Kenji eyed him, "Γιατί είσαι ακόμα ξύπνιος; Είναι η νύχτα μου να φυλάω σκοπιά." ("Why're you still awake? It's my night to keep watch.")

Gazing at the foggy jungle, Ben replied, "Δεν μπορώ να κοιμηθώ." Which was kind of strange, considering how tired he felt. ("Can't sleep.")

Kenji hummed in agreement. He hung his head.

"Πήγαινε να κοιμηθείς— θα το κάνω εγώ." Ben stepped towards him, beckoning him to the cots. ("Go to sleep— I'll do it.")

"Όταν έρθει η σειρά σας, θα," Kenji refused, remaining in his place. He forced himself to look more alert, cracking his neck and shifting his good shoulder. ("When it's your turn, you will.")

"Είσαι κουρασμένος." ("You're tired.")

Kenji sucked in a breath, "Μπα. Λίγο κρύο, αλλά θα ζήσω." ("Nah. A little cold, but I'll live.")

Ben stood and watched as the older puffed air into his hands and rubbed them together, then up, down his arms. The corner of his mouth crooked.

"Είπατε «πολύ»." ("You said 'very.'")

"Είμαι μια χαρά," Kenji dismissed. ("I'm fine.")

Ben wasn't having it. He rested his cheek on Kenji's shoulder and slung an arm over his back. He could feel the goosebumps. "Σταμάτα να είσαι τόσο πεισματάρης." ("Stop being so stubborn.")

Ben could feel Kenji staring at him, wanting to argue, but decided to let it go with an exasperated huff. He grinned softly and patted his arm with his fingertips, ignoring the slight discomfort of skipping heartbeats.
