Why Doesn't She Give Up?

When I was done packing, Connor and I walked downstairs to see my mom making sandwiches in the kitchen. It was then that I realized that I never even thanked her for letting me go on tour with The Vamps. I ran up behind her and hugged her really tight, which was tighter than I thought because she eventually exhaled really raspy like and I let go of her.

"Sorry, Mom," I said, smiling sheepishly, "I wanted to say thanks so much for letting me do this. I can hardly believe that this is actually happening."

"Well, just consider it an early birthday present."

"My birthday isn't for three more months."

She laughed. "I know, but still." She started tearing up and kissed my head. "I love you."

"I love you too mom. I'll text, call, and Skype you every day."

          "Promise?"

"Promise." I hugged my mom one last time and Connor and I walked out the door.

"How are we going to get to the bus? I don't have a c- oh." I cut myself off when I saw the bus right there in front of my house, being swarmed by half the girls in my neighborhood, plus a lot girls that weren't from this neighborhood. I snickered for a moment until I saw her. I hid behind Connor, trying to avoid her seeing me.

           "Connor, hide me."

           "What's wrong?"

"It's the girl from the concert. She's over there."

His whole body tensed and his arms felt like stone. I could see his jaw clench and his knuckles turn white. Whoa, why is he so angry? I can understand a little frustration at her, but this is intense. He brought out his phone and started texting someone. Fortunately, nobody has noticed us yet but I knew it was only a matter of time.

"Who are you texting?" I whispered it in his ear, trying to avoid us getting caught.

"Brad." That was the only answer he gave me, and his voice was cold and sharp as a blade. A minute later, the other boys came out of the bus, and the whole crowd screamed. Behind some heads I could see Brad walk over to the girl from the concert and motion to her to follow him. What is happening?

Connor's P.O.V.

"It's the girl from the concert. She's over there." Trixie looked genuinely scared. I hated that girl for putting Trixie through that pain. I brought out my phone and texted the other boys.

           To: Brad

Will you come outside? The girl that hurt Trixie is out there.

The boys came out a little later and I could see Brad bringing the girl to the back of the van. I smiled down at Trixie, hiding behind my back.

Brad's P.O.V.

           From: Connor

Will you come outside? The girl that hurt Trixie is out there.

She's back?! I told James and Tristan, who were both on their phones, to come outside with me. I scanned the crowd until I saw the girl from the concert who tried to straddle me. I went to her and motioned to her to follow me. I led her behind the bus. She just followed me with this dazed expression on her face.

"H-h-hey, B-Brad." I could tell she was really nervous. I smiled and leaned into her ear.

"You know what kind of girl I like?" I whispered, trying to sound seductive.

          "Wh-what kind?"

I took my head away from her ear and said firmly, "The kind that doesn't knock out our fans, steal their backstage passes, and smash their phones." She just looked at me with this shocked look an her face.

"How did you know about that?"

"Well, we found her behind the building after the concert, unconscious and bleeding. She told us what you look like and I remembered you, considering you were getting so uncomfortably close backstage." Then I just walked away, not even looking back at her. I almost felt bad for being so rude, but all I had to do was think of the condition Trixie was in when we found her. When I got back to the other side of the bus, I gave a thumbs up to Connor and Trixie, causing half of the girls to look in that direction and see them. Whoops. I beckoned to them, signaling to run for it.

Trixie's P.O.V.

Half of the girls came running towards us. Oh no. Brad was waving his hand telling us to run, so we did. We pushed through the girls and got on the bus. The guys high-fived each other and acted like it was some big victory. It probably was for them. I sat on one of the benches and looked out the window to see the girl from the concert crying and her mascara smearing. She looked up and noticed me, then her jaw fell open. She was like that for a moment, then she came to her senses and flipped me off. I stuck my tongue out at her and went to the other side of the bus. This was gonna be great.
