Girl Time

The next morning I woke up in Connor's arms. He was still sleeping, so I carefully removed his arms from me and got out of bed. I checked my phone to see a message from Saffron.

         From: Saffron the Sapphire

What should I wear to the concert?! HELP ME

I laughed at the message. This would be the perfect time to hang out with her more!

       To: Saffron the Sapphire

       Why don't I come over?

She loved the idea. She texted me her address and I put the outfit that I had chosen out for the concert on. It was simple, just a black tank top with the boys' names on it and some short shorts. Black high tops, a little bit of makeup, hair in a ponytail, black messenger's bag, and awesome mustache figure 8 scarf on, I wrote a note to Connor telling where I was and that I'll meet him at the concert. Outside, I called a taxi because I didn't have a car, and told him where to go. I payed him, thanked him, then walked to the door. I knocked and waited for about five seconds. A very messy Saffron opened the door. She still had her pajamas on and her hair was just major bed head. I couldn't help but snort at the sight of her.

"This is serious! I need help!" She pulled me into her house and to her room. There were clothes all over the floor. I looked through them, but they were all either too small or really childish.

"Is this everything you have?" I asked dubiously. They all looked like over-sized childrens' clothes.

"Yeah," she looked embarrassed, "my dad treats me like a little kid, and he has since my mom moved away to America with my sister. I just got him to let me wear my hair down."

"Gurrrrl," I said, imitating a valley girl, "we're going shopping!" We both squealed. Even though I wasn't that girly, I still loved shopping. But first, we needed to find the least childish outfit we could. I dug through the pile of clothes. A lot of it was floral print. After about ten minutes, I managed to find a blue and white striped skirt and a white tank top with a blue denim vest. She still looked a little bit young, but it was better than most of her clothes. She put on some blue flats and I did her hair and makeup (I had extra in my bag).

"Wow, thanks! Where are we going?" She bounced a little.

"Where else? The mall!" We called another taxi and I told him to just take us to the mall. When we got there, we ran into the huge building and looked around. When I saw a store that looked promising, we went in and looked through everything. All we could find was a pair of really cute skinny jeans. They didn't cost much and Saffron had a decent amount of money from her job. We got the jeans and looked around some more. Mainly, I was looking for somewhere that had band shirts. After searching through a couple more stores, I found one that looked just like mine. She tried it on, and it fit perfectly, so we got it. We bought her a pair of Vans and some cute sunglasses. At her house, she put on the outfit and looked amazing.

"You look fabulous!" We hugged and I redid her makeup so it matched her outfit. By now it was almost time for the concert to start, so we called up a taxi one more time to take us to the stadium where the boys were playing. I led her around back to where the bus was parked. I knocked on the door and Tristan answered it, letting us in. Saffron looked just as excited as I had felt the first time I was on the bus.

"Hey, Trixie," Brad said, then he looked to Saffron, "nice to see you again, love." She smiled brightly. James and Connor came out, and we made our way to the stage. I was flirting with Connor, Saffron was flirting with James, and Tristan was flirting with Brad. I laughed at the sight of Tristan acting like a girl.

"You have a beautiful laugh." Connor said quietly.

"You have a beautiful..." I thought for a moment, "...face." He laughed and poked my nose, which I did back to him. I looked at Saffron and James to see them standing unusually close to each other. I smiled knowingly and took Connor's hand. I looked at him.

"Connor," I said, "I love you."

       "Where did that come from?"

"I just thought I'd let you know."

"Oh, well, I love you too." I really, really loved him. It was crazy. He was there when I was down, he made me feel safe, and he got rid of my phobia. And he was all mine. It was then that I realized how much I actually need him. How much he means to me.
