Yn sat by the window, staring out into the vast night, her thoughts a whirlwind of emotions. It had been weeks since Taehyung’s words first entered her life, weeks since she had been torn between the man who ruled her heart and the man who had forced his way into her life. She had spent days trying to push back the pull she felt toward him, trying to remind herself of the girl she once was—the girl who didn’t need anyone to define her.
But the more she tried to resist, the more she realized how deeply Taehyung’s presence affected her.
It was a strange, suffocating feeling, a mix of fear and desire. There was something about him that drew her in, something that made her feel seen and valued—despite his cold exterior and the dark secrets he kept hidden behind his eyes. He was a man who got everything he wanted, and now, it seemed, he wanted her.
And what terrified Yn most was that she could feel herself wanting him too.
Her phone buzzed, interrupting her thoughts. She glanced at the screen, seeing Taehyung’s name flashing. She hesitated for a moment before answering.
“Yn,” Taehyung’s deep voice came through, low and calm as always. “I need to see you.”
The request was not surprising—he’d been calling her often, always asking for her presence in ways that left no room for refusal. But today, something in his tone struck a chord in her. It was neither commanding nor indifferent—it was... soft, almost pleading.
“Taehyung,” she began, her voice quiet, uncertain, “I’ve been thinking.”
“About me?” He asked, a slight smirk creeping into his tone, though she could tell there was something more serious behind it.
“Yes,” she admitted. “About everything.”
There was silence on the other end of the line. Taehyung didn’t press her for more, but she could feel the weight of his attention, even through the phone.
“I’m coming to you,” he said after a beat. “I’ll be there in thirty minutes.”
Yn hung up before she could change her mind. She paced the room for what felt like an eternity, her mind racing with what she could possibly say to him. She didn’t want to admit how much she missed him. She didn’t want to acknowledge the feelings that were starting to surface. But no matter how much she tried to resist, she couldn’t deny the connection between them, a bond that had grown deeper with each passing day.
The sound of a car pulling into the driveway outside broke her thoughts. She quickly stood up, making her way downstairs to greet him.
As she opened the door, Taehyung stood in front of her, his usual composed demeanor in place. His dark eyes studied her, as if he were reading her every thought, and for a moment, the world seemed to fade away.
“Taehyung,” Yn said, her voice almost a whisper.
“You’re thinking too much,” he said simply, stepping past her and into the house. His hand brushed hers as he walked by, sending an electric current through her body.
“I’m not sure what I’m supposed to feel,” Yn confessed, her voice shaky. “You’re... you’re so different. And I—”
“You don’t have to make sense of it all,” he interrupted, his voice low and commanding. “Just feel.”
Yn swallowed hard, standing frozen in place. She could hear her heart pounding in her chest, a sound that seemed too loud for the silence of the room.
Taehyung turned to face her, his expression serious, but there was an underlying softness in his eyes that she hadn’t noticed before. He was still the same cold, distant man, but there was something more to him now. She could feel it, and she didn’t know if it scared her or drew her in further.
“I’m not here to make you feel uncomfortable,” he said, stepping closer to her, his voice gentle now. “I just want you to know that I’m here for you. If you need me... you only have to say the word.”
Yn’s breath caught in her throat. The sincerity in his voice, the way he spoke to her like she mattered—she hadn’t experienced that kind of care before. Not from anyone, especially not from someone like him.
She opened her mouth to say something, but the words wouldn’t come. Instead, she found herself stepping forward, closing the space between them. Without thinking, she reached out and placed a hand on his chest. His warmth seeped into her skin, and she looked up into his eyes, lost in their depth.
“I don’t know what to do,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “But I can’t ignore how I feel.”
Taehyung’s hand moved to cup her cheek, his touch gentle, almost reverent. “You don’t have to do anything right now. Just trust me, Yn.”
Before she could respond, his lips descended onto hers in a slow, deliberate kiss, one that made everything inside her swirl. The kiss was nothing like she had ever experienced—his touch was possessive yet tender, demanding yet soft, as if he was claiming her while making her feel like she was the only one in the world.
When they finally pulled apart, her breath was shallow, her chest rising and falling with the intensity of the moment.
“You’re mine now,” he whispered against her lips. “And I’m not letting you go.”
Yn closed her eyes, a wave of conflicting emotions crashing over her. She didn’t know if she was ready for what this meant. But in that moment, with his warmth surrounding her, she knew one thing for sure—she couldn’t walk away from him. Not anymore.
She nodded silently, her heart silently acknowledging the truth she had been avoiding. She didn’t know where this path would lead, but for the first time, she felt ready to take it.
