Author’s POV
When Y/N returned to the table, her eyes were slightly red, a faint trace of her tears lingering despite her best efforts to appear calm.
She forced a small smile as she took her seat, determined to pretend nothing had happened.
This was Durva’s night—a special moment she didn’t want to taint with her own pain.
The BTS members watched her with a quiet respect, each of them understanding, after Taemin’s heartfelt confession, just how much strength it must’ve taken for her to come back with a brave face.
They exchanged subtle glances, silently agreeing to keep things light, not wanting to draw attention to her vulnerability.
“Y/N, we saved some dessert for you,” Jungkook said gently, pushing a small dish her way with an encouraging smile. “We couldn’t let you miss out.”
She managed a laugh, grateful for his kindness. “Thank you. I would have been heartbroken if I missed it.”
As she took a bite, Durva watched her with worry, his young eyes filled with a wisdom that came from seeing his mother’s strength tested too many times.
Y/N gave him a reassuring smile, her hand reaching over to hold his, a silent promise that she was okay.
Hoseok leaned forward, breaking the silence with a cheerful tone.
“So, Durva, are you ready to show us some of your dance moves?”
Durva's face brightened, clearly excited for the distraction. “Really? You want to see?”
Jimin laughed, nodding. “Of course! We need to see if you’ve got the talent to join us someday.”
Y/N’s heart warmed as she watched Durva enthusiastically mimic some of their moves, his giggles filling the air as the members encouraged him, clapping and laughing along.
It was a moment that eased the tension, bringing back the lightness she’d hoped for.
As the evening continued, Y/N could feel the members’ subtle glances, their silent understanding like a comforting blanket around her.
They didn’t push, didn’t ask questions, simply letting her know, in their gentle way, that they were there if she needed them.
And in that quiet support, Y/N felt a glimmer of hope—an unexpected reminder that she and Taemin weren’t alone in this new chapter.
Author’s POV
As the dinner wound down and plates were cleared, there was a comfortable warmth lingering in the air, a sense of belonging that hadn’t been there at the start.
Durva’s laughter still echoed in their minds, his energy having brought everyone closer.
The members shifted slightly, each of them reluctant to let Y/N and Durva leave so soon.
They exchanged glances as if silently deciding who would speak first.
Namjoon finally cleared his throat, giving Y/N a warm, friendly smile.
“Y/N,” he began, a bit hesitantly, “it’s been really nice getting to know you both. Would it be alright if we… kept in touch?”
Y/N’s eyebrows raised in surprise, not expecting this. “Oh, of course! Durva would love that.”
Hearing his name, Durva looked up with excitement. “Can I really talk to you guys anytime?”
Jin grinned, ruffling Durva’s hair. “You bet, little guy.”
Taehyung, who had been quiet, finally spoke up, his voice soft but sincere.
“Actually, Y/N, we were wondering… if you wouldn’t mind sharing your number? So we could stay connected. No pressure, of course,” he added quickly, not wanting to make her uncomfortable.
Y/N looked around the table, taking in the hopeful expressions on each of their faces, and felt a warmth spread through her.
The thought of having friends and real friends in this new place made her feel lighter.
She nodded, offering a gentle smile. “Sure, I’d like that.”
They all took turns adding her contact information, each one quietly grateful to have her as a part of their lives now, in even the smallest way.
When it was Jimin’s turn, he gave her a playful grin. “Now we’ll have no excuse not to invite you both to hang out sometime. Right, Durva?”
Durva beamed, clutching his mother’s hand with excitement. “Yes! Can we see you guys again soon?”
The members chuckled, and Namjoon gave him a reassuring nod. “Absolutely, Taemin. We’d like that too.”
As Y/N and durva left the restaurant, she felt her heart full, a renewed sense of hope stirring within her.
For the first time in a long time, it felt like things were beginning to fall into place.
