Y/N's POV

The following morning, sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow across the room.

As I sipped my coffee, I glanced around our small apartment, taking in the coziness that had started to feel like home.

But there was a nagging thought at the back of my mind.

I needed to find a job.

With Durva settled in school and adjusting well, I knew it was time for me to step out and contribute.

It wasn’t just about finances; it was about reclaiming a part of myself that had been overshadowed by my past.

I wanted to be independent and provide for Durva without relying on anyone else.

I grabbed my laptop from the coffee table, taking a deep breath as I opened the lid.

A sense of anxiety washed over me. What kind of job should I look for? I hadn’t worked in years, and the thought of stepping back into the workforce was both exhilarating and terrifying.

Scrolling through various job listings, I felt overwhelmed by the sheer number of options.

There were positions in cafes, shops, and even administrative roles, but I wasn’t sure if I was qualified for any of them.

I bit my lip, frustration creeping in as I thought about my lack of experience in a foreign country.

But then, I paused, recalling the strength I had found in myself during the past months.

I had made it this far, and I was determined to keep pushing forward.

Closing my eyes for a moment, I thought of Durva and the life I wanted to build for him—a life filled with stability, joy, and security.

I focused my search on opportunities that would allow me to interact with people, something I had always enjoyed.

Perhaps a job at a local bookstore or a small café would be a good fit.

As I typed in my search query, I imagined myself working in a cozy environment, surrounded by books and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

After a few minutes, I came across a listing for a part-time position at a nearby café that also hosted book readings and events.

My heart raced with excitement. It sounded perfect.

I quickly clicked on the link, reading through the job description.

They were looking for someone with a friendly demeanor and good communication skills—qualities I knew I possessed.

Feeling a surge of confidence, I decided to send in my application right away.

I spent the next hour crafting a cover letter that reflected my enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

I poured my heart into the words, wanting the owner to see my passion for connecting with people and sharing stories.

Once I hit send, a mix of relief and apprehension washed over me.

What if they didn’t reply? What if I wasn’t good enough? I shook my head, pushing those negative thoughts aside.

I had taken the first step, and that was what mattered.

With a sigh of determination, I stood up and moved towards the living room where Taemin was playing with his toys.

Watching him, I felt a renewed sense of purpose.

I wanted to show him that we could create a beautiful life together, that we could overcome our past and embrace our future.
