{ The longer the wait the sweeter the kiss }

TAEHYUNG'S POV

We were admiring the twinkling lights of the carnival festival. We were on the top of the giant wheel.

Everything seemed tiny from here.
Y/n was silently capturing the beauty. Her soft smile and the tenderness in the eyes indicated that she was enjoying the majestic view.

" Partner let's taste my first ever cupcake. " Her excitement had no peak and watching her like this made my heart swell with love.

She carefully opened the floral print box. The freshly baked cake's aroma filled the cabinet of the giant wheel.

I took the first bite and my mouth was filled with the sweetness. The softness of the cupcake was exploring my mouth.

" Mmm moonlight is it really your first try? Because this tastes amazing. "

She wiped the whipped cream from my lips with her thumb. Did it cause my heart to skip a beat? Yes!

" Slow down partner the cupcake is all yours. " She giggled while watching me gobble another piece.

My mouth was stuffed and cheeks were puffed. I gave her a shy smile.

" So is the owner also mine? " I asked teasingly.

Now it was her turn to smile shyly. She looked down and whispered, " The owner is all yours "

After those words slipped through her lips I surrounded my arms around her. I embraced my moonlight.

She was taken aback by my sudden action but embraced me back. And started caressing my back.

" Moonlight you make me feel alive by your presence "

" So do you partner "

I pulled back and started gazing in her hypnotizing eyes. She stared back and gave her soft smile. After watching her smile my gaze soften.

I leaned in and whispered, " Can I kiss you moonlight? "

Her eyes widen in surprise and her cheeks started glowing in the color red.

Oh what a sight to watch!

She opened her mouth but no words came so her nod was a yes for me.

Closing my eyes I leaned and she did the same. Our breaths mingle and so did our hearts.

Her lips met mine and I felt paradise at that moment. For few seconds none of us moved. My arms around her shoulder and her held mine shoulder.

Slowly I started moving my lips and she followed my lead. We kissed each other as if we were the only one existing in the world.

I started savouring her strawberry flavored lips. She tasted like strawberry cause of the cupcake she ate. The cabinet was filled with our smooching sound.

We parted away and caught our breath. " Moonlight your lips are my favorite thing to eat now. "

She blushed furiously after this statement. And smacked my arm saying " Pervert "

" Only for you " I replied

" Can you stop it already? " She whinned

" Not until you give me another kiss "

Just then the door opened and we had to get down. " Thank god " She muttered and I heard

I whispered in her ears " I will take my kiss today itself "

" Hey hyung! " Jungkook skipped happily towards us.

" Hey Jungkook " I replied

" Hey noona. Are you okay? You are all red " His voice was laced with concern

" I am okay Jungkook. It was just too hot inside " She glanced at me and I gave her a smirk.

" I agree with that. Let's go to the lantern show. " His bunny smile made us smile.

" By the way where are Jimin and
Na Eon ? " I asked

" Oh they told me to come with you guys. And went ahead. Wanted some quality time with each other. " He replied.

I just nodded and held Y/n's hand. We three walked and reached where everyone was lighting their lantern.

" Partner look there are Jimin and
Na Eon. " She pointed her finger in that direction and Jungkook and I looked over there spotting them.

They came with the lanterns in their hands. " Guys let's burn the lantern and leave it in the air. " Na Eon said with excitement.

All of us took the lantern and started leaving it in the air. The glowing papers looked beautiful. The sight was lovely.

It sparkled in the night sky above us. The orange glow made it escastic. I sighed in content and prayed while joining my hands and closing my eyes

"Kim Taehyung and Hong Y/n should be together till eternity. May all our dreams come true and we all should achieve our goals "

Y/n was also praying. After opening her eyes she looked at me and gave her smile which made me all giddy.

I sneakily caught her upper arm and collided our bodies. She gasped and her palms rested on my chest. I am sure she can feel my pacing heartbeats.

" Now is my turn to take my kiss moonlight. " I said while hovering.

She just giggled and pulled me closer suddenly. I was astonished by the pull but the next thing she did took me to an another world.

She initiated the kiss and I returned it with honor. We were in public but we couldn't care any less.

Just me and her. Her lips against me felt like heaven to me. She makes me feel thousands of emotions.

We could hear our friends cheers but that didn't stop us. I held her lower back and she wrapped her hands around my neck.

We parted away and stared at each other with affection. " I love you " She expressed.

I groaned and said, " I wanted to be the first one to say that "

She laughed and said " You can say it back first "

" I love you too. " I said it back while resting my forehead on her

" Okay lovebirds. You need to thank me. " Jimin was the one to break our moment.

I raised my brow while turning towards him. Moonlight was still in my arms.

" Here take this. " She gave us a Polaroid picture.

We took it from him and saw that we were kissing each other while the lanterns were flowing in the air.

" Wow. " Y/n breathed

" Jimin this is so beautiful. Thank you so much. I will keep it and cherish it " Y/n expressed her gratitude.

" Yeah thank you Park. But when you will kiss your butterfly I will make sure too take a picture too. " I teased him

They shyly glanced at each other. And smiled widely.

I again stared at the picture again and smiled while watching it. This moment is going to be cherished for my whole life.
