Dawson didn't give the four punk any chance to speak, continuing with a look of grievance: "The four of them, relying on their status as intermediate fighters, ganged up on me. They targeted the places on my body that couldn't be seen, and now I've been injured internally."

Dawson's voice was full of tears, and his words were so pitiful that they would make anyone listening feel heartbroken. The Lin family's guards and the four people were dumbfounded. It's one thing to be shameless, but to this degree was beyond reason, even making gods and demons pause in disbelief.

Hearing the words "internal injury," Andre Lin's expression instantly changed. He immediately moved in front of Dawson, placing his hand on Dawson's right wrist. As time passed, the coldness on Andre Lin's face grew stronger, to the point where it could freeze an elephant.

Seeing Andre Lin's expression, the heads of the four families were all shaken. Although the Lin family was starting to decline, they were still one of the six prominent families in the city. If the Lin family wanted to wipe out any of the four families, it would be no difficulty at all. The heads of the four families couldn't help but silently curse their sons. They thought, even if they wanted to drive the Lin family out of the city, they shouldn't have said it in front of them. Now, what if Andre Lin flew into a rage?

Looking at the four boys' aggrieved faces, Dawson couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. He thought to himself, "You idiots, I told you not to disturb my alchemy, and now you're gonna regret it. If I don't wipe you out, then my name isn't Lin!" If anyone heard Dawson's thoughts, they might faint from sheer disbelief. "Lin," spelled backward? Doesn't it still spell "Lin"?

"They saw you all coming and pretended to hammer their left eye, claiming the four families would drive the Lin family out of the Sunset City and make us prisoners," Dawson added, not intending to let things slide. Fresh blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, and he weakly pointed at the four people not far away.

Upon hearing this, the four heads of the families could no longer contain themselves. They thought, "If we don't intervene now, this little troublemaker will keep talking and we'll be in deeper trouble." Each of them silently cursed their own son. They thought, "No matter how much we want to push the Lin family out, we can't just say it to their face."

"Brother Lin, please don't take offense. The boy misspoke; how could Sunset City be without the Lin family's presence?"

"Indeed, Brother Jin is right. The Lin family is one of the six prominent families of Sunset City. Without the Lin family, there would be no Sunset City."

"Ah...!"

Meng Wuchang, realizing he had said something wrong, gave an awkward cough, then quickly added, "Brother Lin, I have some family matters to attend to. I won't trouble you any longer. Farewell." With that, Meng Wuchang quickly dragged his son away, not even daring to glance back. The other three family heads also hurriedly left. In the blink of an eye, the once-bustling Lin family gate was now empty, with only Dawson and his father, along with a few Lin family guards.

After the four family heads and their sons left, Andre Lin suddenly released his grip from his son's pulse and asked in a somewhat displeased tone, "What exactly is going on here?"

"What do you mean? Dad, what are you talking about? I don't understand," Dawson said with a confused look, preparing to get up and continue his alchemy. However, Andre Lin suddenly pressed him down, asking again, "Don't treat me like a fool. What happened?"

Dawson's heart skipped a beat. Whether it was the previous Dawson or the one who had crossed over, he knew little about his own father. Andre Lin always carried an air of mystery, and even his son couldn't always understand him.
