"Will you be my last meal, baby?" - Book

"I hate the fact that I don't hate you, not even a little bit." - Quote

"Only a genius, could love a woman like me" - Song

"Please! Boys versus girls?" Tyke begs.

"Tyke..." Mr. Reid trails off.

"No, we need boys against girls. This will decide the final winners in the forever never-ending war." I persuade.

"No, bro! We're cooked." Malik yells.

"Scared, Malik?"

"Yeah, silverboy-" Leah shuts the fuck up when I shove her a nasty glare. Only I get to call him that.

Possessive.

Shut up.

"Actually, the games up. Let's see." He says.

"Fine. At the end of the lesson."

"What do the winners get?" I ask.

Malik continues to stare at me, I feel his gaze burning into me like fire in gasoline. He stares at me, the fire steadily staying the same heat as it was when it was ignited. Don't look back.

Don't look back.

Don't you fucking dare look back, Siyana.

Obnoxiously loud, Tyke interrogates Malik. "Malik. Maybe you should stop looking at Siyana in such inappropriate ways that I shouldn't be detailing in school?"

"Shut up, the only way I'd be looking at her is violence. I'm thinking about ways to carve that smart, little mouth out."

"Little? Never knew you were a little bundle of misogyny, Malik."

That shuts him up.

The last twenty minutes approach as I wait for the most anticipated moment of the I don't know, forever? Boys against girls, in math.

"We're cooked. They're way better." Malik mutters.

"They only have Siyana. The rest of them are trash." Asher comforts Malik.

I snort. "What about me?" Leah squeals.

"You're trash." Asher utters, straight to her face.

Don't laugh, she's your friend.

I snicker.

"You're smart, Leah." I half-heartedly say.

Malik's zoning out; probably thinking about Asher's previous statement.

They all know it's right.

"Stop laughing, Asher. She is smart." She's not.

"She's not, right?" Tyke claims, Leah rolls her eyes and sighs.

"Yeah, she's stupid." Damien utters.

Pedro echoes. "Only Siyana, if we take her down. Everyone's down."

"It's not that deep." Evelyn announces.

Ava bangs her fists on the table. "Exactly! The boys are taking this way too seriously."

"Siyana's the best. Everyone else is trash. I don't take back any shit." Asher tells me.

"I guess so. I mean, yeah, they're all shit but Siyana's gonna be screaming the answer across the classroom." Malik mumbles.

"I won't, guys. I swear." I put my hands up, jokingly.

Tyke rolls his eyes at me, "If milky isn't concentrating, then they'll definitely win. Come on, Milky. You've got to beat Siyana."
