Right Person, Wrong Timing

In whispered winds between the trees,
Where love's sweet melody finds ease,
Two souls collide with tender grace,
Yet fate draws lines, a cruel embrace.

Your laughter sparkles like sunlit streams,
Within my heart ignite wild dreams,
But clocks, they tick in stubborn beats,
While moments fade like fleeting sweets.

We dance through shadows, heartbeats close,
Each glance a promise, a silent prose,
But life's cruel script, it writes a cost,
We gain a love yet find it lost.

Perhaps in another time, we'd dwell,
In sunsets rich, where wishes swell,
Yet here we stand, with dreams confined,
The right person caught in wrong timing.

So let us cherish what still remains,
In stolen glances, joy and pains,
For love, a treasure, though short its flight,
Is etched in stars on a moonlit night.

Someday, perhaps, the winds will change,
In higher realms where time's less strange,
Until then, dear, I'll hold you near,
In heartbeats whispered, in dreams sincere.
