Eternity

53 20 18

In the quiet cradle of dawn's soft breath,
We find the sun, a fiery thread of life,
Sowing warmth upon the waking earth,
Its golden beams a promise, free from strife.

Yet in the shadows of each vibrant glow,
Two lovers yearn across an endless span-
The moon, in silver robes, a gentle flow,
Wanders through the heavens, her ghostly plan.

Oh, sun, bright herald of the day's delight,
With every rise, you chisel hope anew,
Yet twilight speaks of love's unyielding fight,
For the moon longs dearly for the glow of you.

They watch from realms that rarely see the same,
One draped in light, the other veiled in night,
A cosmic dance, a bittersweet acclaim,
As seconds flow like rivers, swift and light.

The stars conspire, murmuring in hushed tones,
Of realms where time stands still, a strange embrace,
A gentle oath woven in whispered moans,
As galaxies roll in their celestial race.

But then, a miracle transcends the skies,
A moment glimmers, fleeting, yet profound;
The universe pauses, no more goodbyes,
As shadows merge in love's enchanted round.

The sun bows down, and with it, light descends,
While the moon rises, her face a radiant glow,
For in this dance, time's cruel hand transcends,
An eclipse where two celestial hearts may flow.

In that transit, a silent hymn unfolds,
The world hushed soft, as love eclipses all,
In the arms of darkness, a story told,
Of two betrayed by cosmic boundaries' thrall.

They linger in the stillness, breath on breath,
A union carved in the fabric of the night,
Embracing the depths, outshining death,
In every heartbeat, they reclaim the light.

But with the dawn, alas, they're torn apart,
The sun rises, stretching light across the sea,
Yet in their separation beats a timeless heart,
A love that whispers through eternity.

So when you gaze at shadows' gentle blend,
And watch the sun and moon in fleeting grace,
Remember, dear soul, that love can transcend,
And distance is but a notch in time's embrace.

For every eclipse, a promise holds true,
That love's enduring arc will faithfully meet-
Though day and night may keep their distance, too,
In the dance of the heavens, one heart finds its beat.

Hey guys!

It was such a struggle to come up with a title for this poem 😅. I actually wrote it inspired by an old, super popular Japanese legend-the love story of the sun and moon.
The legend say......." the sun and moon used to love each other but because of their time difference don't meet ,so god create the Eclipse for them to meet "...... it inspires that impossible love is also possible

I imagined it like the whole galaxy was dancing in a ballroom while writing, so that's why the video I posted has that vibe too. Make sure to check out the video, and if you spot any mistakes or have ideas for me, definitely drop a comment and share your thoughts!
