Was I Always A Ghost In Your Life?

Was I Always A Ghost In Your Life?
The one lurking in the dark,
Always trying to get a glimpse of your smile?

Was I always a ghost in your life?
One you'd think of as an obsessive
Psychopathic painted face?
And then give me false hopes
And watch as my blush fades
Into red turned eyes of sadness
As they go down?

Was I always a ghost in your life?
A ghost with glasses and a book up my nose?
I thought you liked, if I'm honest.
I became life for a while,
Till you let my love get to you
And then crumbled it into a piece of paper
It feels like the time, burnt it into ash.

All my fucking love,
Burnt before my eyes.

Tell me,
When you came to me
That fine day,
Did you think I was yet another ghost
In your life, you'd leave off
Feeling all giddy and giggles.

Was I always a ghost in your life?
Because now I feel like one,
Because I started lurking in the dark,
Trying to get a glimpse of your smile.
