Invisible Lockets

July 5th,
Under the pine tree,
Filling my lungs with butterflies
Of your smile
And sandal whispers of the ground.

I must be the foolish one,
Seeking for love
When the cupid's arrow
Struck striaght in my heart.

So in love
I made us invisible lockets
My initial carved on yours,
And yours on mine,
As if my heart isnt.

Just between us,
I remember it.
I dont know if you
Ever felt how foolish I must be,
Or did you make a mockery
Of my love with your friends?
Did you come to my learning haven,
Only to find me sulking
It was rare,
Do you remember it?

Maybe
The lockets I made for us,
Were never meant to be,
Swinging a swing
In a children's playground,
Thinking your initial is carved on mine.
