I woke up the next morning thinking that things would be better but I was wrong. Jeremiah continues to text me, asking if Mallory finally agreed to get a divorce. I decided to ignore his texts and just go on with my morning routine.

As I got ready, I smelled something delicious coming from the kitchen. Even though I hate to see her face the first thing in the morning, I can't ignore the fact that she knows how to cook.

After giving myself one last look in the mirror, I walked out of the room and went downstairs.

"Morning. Your breakfast is ready." I heard Mallory's voice but she has her back towards me. I placed my handbag on the table and sat down on the table.

"I already had mine. So enjoy it." Mallory said before she left the kitchen and went up to her room. When I first moved in, I was shocked when she said she doesn't have any maid to take care of the house.

Immediately, I told her that I wouldn't have time to do anything since my job requires time and effort. Mallory just laughed and said she would take care of everything. But if I have to be honest, I was quite challenged when she said it that way.

As if she didn't expect me to know how to do things around the house. Even though it's a fact, I still feel challenged by it. I enjoyed my breakfast wholeheartedly and once I'm done, I placed the dishes on the sink and went to the office.
