"You seem distracted!" Jessamine said, waving her hand in front of Mari's blank stare, "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I guess." Mari answered tonelessly, "Just tired."

"Of what, of me?" Jessamine responded, trying to get a reaction out of Mari, who let out a wry smile.

"Yes, you tire me. Like how many times can we have sex in a day, Jessamine?" she said out loud, which made other students stop to look at them incredulously.

"Hey! That's not true!" Jessamine answered in the same loud tone, before whispering: "Stop that, they'll think we're nymphos or something!"

"Tell me, Jessa. What happens if you are apparently something that you didn't think you were?" Mari asked out of the blue.

"What do you mean by that?"

"I meant, you thought you were just this regular being, living their life and then you are told that you aren't." Mari finished, sighing.

"Nothing is regular about you, Mari. But I'll play along, maybe I'll be shocked, if it's truly part of my identity, then what use is it for me to deny it?"

"Even if it can potentially be fatal to people around you?"

"Weird, are you going to say you're the child of a serial killer now?" Jessamine asked.

"Uh, I wish. That would be so much easier." Mari muttered.

"You can tell me anything." Jessamine assured her.

"I know, my dear, but this one, I think I have to go it alone."

"You're leaving?"

"What. No. Are you an idiot?" Mari asked, interrupted from her daze.

"Then why are you..." she then mimicked Mari's voice and tone, "going to 'go it alone'"

"I might tell you one day, but no, I am not leaving. I'm just saying that I need to carry this thing alone for a bit."

"Look sister, I'm with you on this, no matter what." Jessamine promised and Mari smirked, closing in on her.

"No. Matter. What?" she said, every syllable, she exhaled her breath on Jessamine's face, which rendered her infatuated even further.

"No..matter..?" Jessamine repeated, staring into Mari's brown eyes, puckering her lips.

Mari pulled away and snickered, Jessamine realized what was going on and noticed that she was attempting to kiss Mari while they were surrounded by other students.

"Hey!" Jessamine chided her, flushed.

"I'm sorry, here." Mari said, kissing her fully on the lips.

The pair were walking in the corridors of the university when they came across Ricardo Almazon, who flinched and went in another direction when he saw Mari. Jessamine stared at Mari pointedly who shrugged.

"Did you do that to him?" Jessamine asked.

"Hmm, do what to whom?" Mari countered.

"Those bandages!" Jessamine continued.

"What. No. Of course not." Mari answered honestly, "I don't know how to put bandages like that."

"Mari!" Jessamine said, smacking her in the shoulder.

"Look, I will not admit nor deny your allegations. If you wish to press me further, you will have to consult with my lawyer." Mari said blankly.

"Mari!" Jessamine repeated.
