"Stay still and rest." Mari told Danilo, who was still breathing, though severely injured.

"Okay, softened him up for you." Danilo muttered.

Mari smirked, "Of course you did."

She brandished her sword, and flicked the remaining dust away, she could feel it, power that coursed through ages, cut off before finally finding its connection: to her.

"I am fury." Mari muttered, as she dashed forward, colluding with Moussamo. The god's defense was shattered on impact, as Mari exerted all the power she can muster.

"I am wrath." she chanted, planting the blade deep in his sternum.

"I see Moussamo's underpants!" she finished planting a fierce kick between his gonads.

"That's for the spear!" she said as Moussamo fell to the ground with a groan.

"Now get up, we're not done, Mister god."

"Imbecile!" Moussamo roared, summoning spears in the air once more, Mari stepped back, covering Danilo as they descended on them, batting, slicing and cutting them away with blinding strikes and slashes from her sword.

As the dust settled, Mari stood atop Danilo, both unscathed. Well, Danilo was very scathed, but he does not have any puncture wounds to speak of.

Moussamo charged towards Mari and, raising his fist and attempting to connect it with her torso. She met him head on and caught it with a grin.

"Hey, here's something from the old lady." Mari said as they clashed.

"Shut your mouth, weak–" Moussamo growled but was cut off when Mari struck him dead center in his face with a heatbutt.

He reeled backwards, dazed and confused, trying to make sense of what was happening.

She stood there, her sword at the ready. Moussamo prepared to charge again but suddenly stepped back in fear. A shiver went down his spine.

That form, that smile, those eyes. It was the same.

His mind returned to a few millennia ago, a feisty woman and her warriors fought to the end, they all fell but he was shown the true meaning of fear.

In her last defiant stand, that woman raised her sword and smiled at him, as if she were ready to face him to the end.

"No.." Moussamo mumbled, "It cannot be."

He could almost see her behind Mari, in that same pose, that wretched woman!

"If you're not coming, I am!" Mari announced; the very same words she spoke, albeit her last.

Mari barreled forward, her sword raised high with a mighty roar forced her way through, Moussamo caught her and struggled against the momentum.

"I am a god you filthy creature!" Moussamo roared, managing to grab Mari's shirt and slammed her deep into the ground, burying both his hand and his victim.

"I told you, you cannot beat me." Moussamo announced confidently, but a whistling sound cut through the air, it was sharp, a second later he roared in pain as he raised the same arm he buried on the ground.

It fell into pieces as he looked in horror, Mari stepped out of the impact crater with a smirk.

"Gotta hand it to ya, Mister god." Mari joked, spitting out blood.

"Filthy heathen!" Moussamo shouted, clutching his the stump of his arm, trying to staunch the golden blood that was flowing from it.

"Test a theory out for me will you?" Mari said, closing in on him. He backed away, terrified.
