You had heard Team 7 has come back to the village, you wanted to go over and congratulate them.... but, you know, you're bound.
You waited for Naruto to come over and tell you all about the mission, but he never did. You felt sad, maybe Naruto had forgotten about you. All these bad thoughts swarmed you head, that you didn't feel the hand on your head till it ruffled your hair.
"Hey," You heard a familiar voice. You turned around and gave the person a hug, "Sasuke! How was your mission?" Your voice muffled in the Uchiha's chest.
Sasuke's cheeks warmed at the sudden touch, but hugged back anyways. "It was a good." He said bluntly. You let go of Sasuke and gave him a warm smile, "I'm glad."
Sasuke struggled to keep his cool composure at the sight of you, but he was able to remain calm. "Here," Sasuke handed you a bag of seeds.
You looked at it, "What is it?" You asked. Sasuke sighed, he thought you'd know this stuff. "Its tomato seeds, I bought it at one of the local markets." His memory flashed back to him stealing it from a random old lady but he shook it off.
You smiled at Sasuke's kind gesture of getting you something, "Thank you." You giggled remembering that Sasuke's favorite food was tomatoes, so putting two and two together, you figured he wanted you to grow them not just for yourself but aswell for him.
"Don't worry Sasuke, once they fully grow I'll make sure your the first to have one!" Sasuke blushed. "Whatever.." He sighed out.
"How was Naruto on the mission?" Your question on the rascal irked the Uchiha. "He was just fine." Sasuke was still angry at the Uzumaki for shielding him from an attack, he could've handled it just fine.
You worried at Sasuke's suddenly rough tone, "Are you alright?" You asked. He blinked out of his thoughts and went back to a calm expression, "Yes, um, I can help you plant the tomatoes If you want...?" Sasuke changed the subject.
You smiled at Sasuke's offer, "Sur-" "Because you probably don't know how." Sasuke cut you off as you sweat dropped.
You and Sasuke spent about an hour searching for a spot to plant the tomato seeds, water them, and finish covering them with dirt.
You glanced at Sasuke as he wiped off the sweat on his forehead, getting a good smudge of dirt on him. You giggled and licked your finger, wiping it off.
Sasuke froze at your gesture but nodded in thanks and went back to work.
Soon, the sun started to set and the two of you sat and rested, admiring your hard work.
You turned to the Uchiha, "Thanks for helping me." You thanked him once more, you enjoyed the time you had spent together today. It helped you forget your sorrows about Naruto.
"You're welcome," Sasuke mumbled.
He glanced at you, admiring how peaceful you looked. He remembered the goal he made ever so long ago and smiled in just the slightest.
He wanted to hang out with you earlier today but he had no idea what to do at first. Sasuke glanced at the empty bag that was once full of tomato seeds and squeezed it in his hand.
'Thank God for these Tomato seeds'
