Shikamaru was bored, suddenly he remembered the strange girl from the flower field. He blushed thinking about her, but quickly but his thoughts aside and grabbed a wooden box.

He walked to the field, hoping he would see you again.

You seemed like an, okay person, and that's why Shikamaru was heading over to where he thought you would be.

You looked up from where you were in your field, seeing a familiar pineapple head. Realizing it was the boy you watched clouds with.

"Good morning!" You announced wavering at the boy.

The boy sluggishly waved back at you and placed down his wooden box.

He motioned for you to sit and you did. He opened up to the wooden boy to reveal some sort of game.

Your eyes sparkled, he wanted to play a game with you!?

Then again your eyes dimmed as you tried to remember if you knew how to play games.

"What's this?" You asked as you pointed towards all the little pieces the game came with. Shikamaru glaced at your confused face and sighed, "This game is called shogi, the pieces your pointing to are called 'koma.' " He explained.

"Ku-ma," You repeated. "Koma," Shikamaru corrected. "Each piece has a special importance in the game," He pointed to the largest piece.

"That's called a king, the largest and most valuable piece in the game," The Nara pointed to another.

"That one is called a rook, also known as the hisha, this piece can move in any non-diagonal direction until it captures a piece or is blocked."

Shikamaru kept pointing at pieces and explaining them as you listened intently. "And the last one is called a pawn also known as the fuhyo, this is the weakest piece and can only move one square forward each turn." Shikamaru finished.

Shikamaru had a small smile on his face. Explaining and talking about something he was passionate about made him feel less tired and more energetic.

You quickly took in the information Shikamaru gave you and nodded your head, "I think I get it, lets play!" The Naras smile didn't falter as he enjoyed playing the game with you.

You tried your best to win but Shikamaru always outsmarted you.

At one point you came close to winning but he tricked you last minute and you sulked in sorrow. "You know, you kind of suck at this game." He teased as he put his hands up behind his head.

You smiled softly, "Yeah but at least were having fun right?" You asked.

Shikamaru smirked, "Yeah..."
