The sun had begun to set, casting a warm glow over U.A.'s grounds. Class 1-A had just finished another grueling day of training. Everyone was scattered across the campus, each student heading to their respective spots for some downtime before the evening.

Y/N was walking at her usual pace, her thoughts heavy with the events of the day.

Todoroki was walking beside her, keeping pace without saying much. His quiet presence was oddly soothing after everything that had gone down. Neither of them had spoken much, but there was an understanding between them—something that neither felt the need to articulate just yet.

"You did well today," Todoroki finally said, his voice steady as ever. "You were in control. I'm impressed."

Y/N gave him a small, tired smile, rubbing the back of her neck as she walked. "Thanks. It wasn't easy, but I guess... I've been through worse," she said, the words slipping out before she could stop them.

Todoroki glanced at her, his gaze perceptive, though he didn't pry. "I know what you mean," he replied quietly. "Training is about more than just your Quirk—it's about pushing your limits."

Y/N nodded, feeling some of the tension in her shoulders ease. She wasn't sure why, but it felt easier to talk to Todoroki. He understood, even without needing all the details. Maybe that was the comfort she needed after everything.'

They kept walking in silence for a while longer before Todoroki spoke again. "You know," he began, his tone casual, "if we're going to be friends, I think calling each other by our first names would make it feel more... natural."

Y/N blinked, taken aback by the suggestion. She wasn't used to anyone being so straightforward about it. "You want me to call you Shoto?" she asked hesitantly, trying the name out loud.

Todoroki nodded, his expression calm as always. "If you're comfortable with it."

Y/N hesitated for a moment, the name unfamiliar on her tongue. But something about Todoroki's demeanor made it feel easier. "Alright, then. Shoto."

It felt strange at first, but she didn't mind it. The shift in their dynamic felt like a small, unspoken step toward a new kind of closeness. And for some reason, it felt important to her.

Unbeknownst to them, Bakugo had been walking a few paces behind the pair, his sharp eyes trained on Y/N and Todoroki. He had been trying to ignore the growing irritation in his chest ever since he saw them talking earlier.

Now, seeing Y/N call Todoroki by his first name—Shoto—something inside Bakugo snapped.

"What the hell?" he muttered under his breath, his fists clenching as his eyes followed them. The tension in his jaw was palpable, and it wasn't just because Todoroki was getting close to Y/N. It was because the damn calm bastard looked too comfortable with her. Too friendly.

Bakugo hated it. He hated the way Todoroki made it seem so casual, like he didn't have to fight for Y/N's attention. Like Y/N hadn't been through what she had been through. Like he could just waltz in and act like everything was normal.

"Oi, Y/N!" Bakugo shouted, unable to hold back any longer. He marched toward them, a storm of frustration in his voice.

Y/N turned, startled by his outburst, but before she could speak, Bakugo continued. "You seriously just start calling him by his first name now? After a few conversations?" He scowled, glaring at Todoroki. "What the hell is this? You're just getting that close, huh?"

Y/N was taken aback by his outburst, a confused frown on her face. "Bakugo, it's not that big of a deal," she said, her tone more cautious than usual.

But Bakugo wasn't hearing it. "It's a big deal to me!" His voice was harsh, louder than it should have been. "You think you can just go around calling him 'Shoto' now? You think you're so close?"

Y/N shook her head, trying to keep her frustration in check. "What is your problem, Bakugo?"

"My problem?" Bakugo's anger flared, his usual explosive tone taking over. He glared at Todoroki again. "Yeah, my problem. You're just gonna keep getting closer to him, huh? Acting like nothing's changed? Just like that?"

Y/N stood frozen, unsure of how to respond. She didn't understand what was making Bakugo so angry. It wasn't like she'd done anything wrong.

Shoto, standing beside her, didn't say anything. He just watched, his expression unreadable as always.

Bakugo's scowl deepened as he turned and stormed off, leaving Y/N and Todoroki in a stunned silence. Y/N blinked a few times, still processing what had just happened.

"What just... happened?" she muttered under her breath.

Todoroki turned to her, his expression calm as usual. "I think you just pushed a button."

Y/N laughed softly, but it was strained, almost nervous. "I don't get it. Why is Bakugo acting like that? It's just a name..."

Todoroki glanced over at her, his voice gentle. "Sometimes, people act out of jealousy. I think Bakugo is still figuring out what you mean to him."

Y/N's chest tightened at his words. Jealousy? Bakugo? She couldn't quite wrap her head around it. But the way his words had burned, the way his anger had flared so suddenly, made her think that Todoroki might be right.

Alone in the classroom, bakugo running a hand through his messy blonde hair. His mind raced, replaying the scene over and over. Why the hell did I blow up like that? he thought to himself, his frustration gnawing at him.

He didn't want to admit it, not even to himself, but something about Y/N calling Todoroki by his first name had set him off. Maybe it was because he hadn't heard Y/N call him by his first name. Maybe it was because Todoroki was acting so damn... casual. So calm. Like it didn't matter to him.

Bakugo clenched his fists in frustration, his anger bubbling beneath the surface. Damn it. What the hell is going on?

Why am i feeling like that over someone i just met? And besides, i never felt that way.
