"Mitsukuni?" I looked down at the green haired boy sitting in front of me.
Currently he was...huddled in the floor, his body forming a ball as he hugged himself using his currently puppetless hands.
Despite not being able to see his full facial expression, I could tell he was distressed which considering what happened to him just now...I don't blame him at all.
"Mitsuuu!" I heard a familiar voice yell out through the rain. "There you are!"
Hikaru immediately went to check up on the former puppeteer, though as he ran towards here, he tripped on something, and fell on top of me.
"Reirei, you're here too!"
"You're completely soaked....are you fine?" I asked, concerned while ignoring the fact that he got me wet too.
"I used to play out in the rain all the time. This Is no big deal for me." He said to me as he flashed his usual toothy smile.
I noticed he had a gap between his two front teeth.
...huh, why am I putting so much attention on it now...
Thunder soon struck again, the sound of the lightning causing Mitsukuni to cover his ears.
"Hey, hey it's fine..." I could see Hikaru got off of me to comfort Mitsukuni. "There's no such thing as permanent rain." He said to the boy as he replied by tapping the ground multiple times in the same manner as he did before with Hikaru.
"Yeah...i really wished I had one too right about now. If only I had an umbrella we could use to get back to the dorms..."
"Did you say umbrella?" I said, pulling out the one Nijiko just gave me.
"Oh! That's so lucky that you have one!" Hikaru exclaimed as he grabbed the both of my hands. "You're the best, Reirei!"
His hands were a nice warmth...
"Hehe...thanks.." I said as I looked at Mitsukuni. "We can use this if you don't mind sharing an umbrella together, though you'll probably have to be the one holding it considering you're both quite... taller than me." I said, sizing the two of them up.
I remember reading their student information on my Kumophone, and while I'm 5'6, Hikaru and Mitsukuni are 5'11 and 6'0 respectively.
Way way...taller than me.
"That's fine. I'll hold the umbrella!" Hikaru said as I gave him it.
"3...2..1 Go!" He said as he went to open up the umbrella.
...Only for it to immediately fly away, and break as it opened up.
"H-huh?" He said, as we looked dumbfounded by just what happened as he looked at me.
"Reirei I'm..."
"I-I'm so sorry! I should've tested it out myself first before you did so I knew it would work!" I said to him before he could say what he was gonna say.
"W-what? It's not your fault, Reirei. After all I was the one who opened the umbrella up, and got un..." Hikaru said, pausing as he looked like he just realized something. "Un..lucky..."
He then stared at both me, and Mitsukuni for awhile glancing at us back to back as Mitsukuni slowly got up, and walked towards our direction.
"I'm sorry, I should've known this dumb talent Monokumo gave me was gonna mess something up." Hikaru said in a guilty tone.
"I-it's fine. You didn't ask for this, anyway." I said, trying to comfort him.
"I-...but still, I feel bad that I might be spreading this bad luck to you all..." Hikaru said as he looked down.
