Y/N stood at the gates of the mansion, her heart pounding as she stared at the grand entrance.

The house, so familiar yet so foreign now, loomed in front of her like a towering reminder of everything she had left behind.

She hadn't been here in years, but every stone, every window, and every turn of the driveway brought back memories.

The memories of a life she once lived and the people she once loved.

The door opened with a soft creak,

As she entered the house, a flood of memories overwhelmed her.

The grand chandelier overhead, the marble floors she once walked barefoot, the smell of freshly brewed coffee lingering in the air-all of it hit her like a wave, and for a moment, she felt lost.

Jungkook's family greeted him warmly, their voices laced with concern.

"What happened, Jungkook? Are you hurt?"

Taehyung's voice echoed across the foyer, a sharp contrast to the casual tone he usually carried.

Mrs. Jeon rushed over to him, her hands gentle as she checked his injuries, and Jimin was right behind her, his eyes scanning the room as if looking for answers.

Y/N stood frozen by the door, her breath catching in her throat.

Watching them, she felt the years of separation like a heavy weight on her chest.

The love and care they showed Jungkook, so effortlessly, was something she had once longed for but never received.

Her gaze drifted over to her mother and brother, standing quietly nearby, but their attention was solely on Jungkook.

No one looked at her.

The realization hit her like a gut punch.

She wasn't the daughter they cared for anymore she was a stranger to them.

Her mother's and brother's eyes barely flickered in her direction, and yet, they were consumed by Jungkook's every word.

She had been replaced, forgotten, and in that moment, the longing for the family she once had burned within her.

Tears welled up in her eyes, but she blinked them away before anyone could notice.

It was then that Priya, her childhood best friend, appeared at the side of Abhishek, Y/N's brother.

Priya's eyes met hers, narrowing as if trying to piece something together. There was something in her gaze-a flicker of recognition.

Mrs. Jeon, who had been observing the interaction from a distance, walked over to them.

Her gaze softened when she saw the bruises on Y/N's wrists and the cut on her ankle.

"Are you okay?" she asked, her voice full of concern.

Y/N hesitated, her emotions threatening to overwhelm her, but she nodded.

"It's just a scratch,"
