In the silent nights, our hearts still beat,
Bound by love, though we can't meet.
Lost in the world, your face unseen,
Come back, my love, to where we've been.Yn. POV:
The sun shone brightly over a lush, green meadow, dotted with wildflowers that swayed gently in the breeze. She saw herself as a child, laughing and running with carefree abandon. Her brother was there too, his laughter mixing with hers as they chased each other through the tall grass. Nearby, the younger version of him, the boy who would grow into the feared mafia king, was also there, his eyes sparkling with mischief and joy.
They were all together, just as they used to be-her, her brother, and him. Her two cousins, giggling and holding hands, joined in the fun, their laughter echoing through the air like a sweet melody. They played tag, their feet kicking up tiny clouds of dust as they darted around the meadow, their voices a symphony of childhood innocence.
In a moment of shared mischief, she and he found themselves hiding behind an old oak tree, their breaths coming in excited gasps as they tried not to laugh too loudly. He looked at her with those deep, knowing eyes, and for a brief moment, it felt like the whole world disappeared, leaving just the two of them in that perfect, sunlit bubble.
He reached out, brushing a strand of hair from her face, his touch gentle and warm. "You're it," he whispered, tapping her nose playfully before darting off, his laughter trailing behind him. She chased after him, her heart light and full of joy, the memory of their shared moment etched into her mind like a precious gem.
As they continued to play, their joyous shouts filled the air, the bond between them growing stronger with each passing second. It was a perfect day, one of those rare moments where everything felt right, where every laugh, every smile was a treasure.
Then, she heard her mother's voice calling from the distance. "Kids, it's time to come inside!" Her voice was warm and loving, a beacon guiding them back home.
She looked up to see her mother standing at the edge of the playground, her smile as bright as the sun. Her mother waved, beckoning them inside. The children reluctantly began to make their way towards her, the magical spell of the meadow slowly fading.
As they reached her mother, she felt a pang of sadness, knowing the dream was ending. But she also felt a deep sense of warmth and love, the memories of those special moments filling her heart. She looked back at him, the boy who would one day become so much more, and saw the same wistful look in his eyes.
Her mother gathered them all in a gentle embrace, leading them back towards the house. The dream began to blur, the vivid colors and sounds fading away, leaving behind a lingering feeling of happiness and longing. As she woke, she clung to the memory of that perfect day, the joy of being together with those she loved, and the hope that one day, they might find each other again.
And her dream broke giving her taste of cruel reality
She sat alone in her small apartment, clutching a faded photograph. Everyone said she was dead, but she couldn't bring herself to believe it. She loved her too much to accept the finality of it. If only she had saved her, if only she had been there that day-her life would be so different now.
"I know you're out there somewhere" she whispered, tears glistening in her eyes. "Safe and sound. You have to be."
The pain of leaving her house nine years ago was still fresh, a wound that never healed. She imagined her returning, walking through the door with a warm smile, making everything normal again.
