The sun was beginning to set over the city, casting long shadows across the streets as Y/N wrapped up her day at the office.

She'd been immersed in work for the last few days, but something was missing-the usual tension she felt when he was around.

Jungkook had been in Busan for the past three days, and today was the day he was returning.

Y/N finished gathering her things and stepped into the elevator, exhaling softly.

Just as the elevator doors opened and she stepped out of the building, her phone vibrated in her hand.

She glanced down and saw Aadi's name flashing across the screen, bringing a bright smile to her face.

It had been three long months since she'd last heard from him, and there was a warmth in her voice as she picked up.

"Finally, you remembered I exist, Aadi!"

she teased as she walked down the path outside her office.

"Oh, please, BIWI,"

he replied, using his usual, affectionate nickname for her.

"Don't act like you missed me that much."

"Excuse me? You didn't even call or text! That's grounds for a fight,"

she laughed, her tone light and playful as they bantered back and forth.

"And what's with calling me 'BIWI'?"

" you're my biwi whether you like it or not. Don't get mad if I disappear for a few months, okay? You know you'll always forgive me,"

he teased back.

Y/N rolled her eyes, her smile widening as they continued their playful argument.

She was so engrossed in the conversation, giggling and firing back at his teasing remarks, that she barely noticed her surroundings.

But as she took a few more steps, a strange sensation prickled the back of her neck-like someone was watching her.

She slowed her steps, glancing over her shoulder, but the street appeared empty.

The feeling lingered, gnawing at her.

"By the way, I have a surprise for you," he announced, sounding oddly excited.

"What?" She paused, her heart picking up pace in curiosity.

"I'm at the airport in Seoul. Surprise!" he revealed.

A delighted squeal escaped her lips, pure joy filling her.

"You're serious? You're really here?"

"Of course. Can't let you suffer without me, right?"

Aadi teased, his laughter echoing through the line.

But her happiness was short-lived.

But before she could respond further, a strange sensation crept over her-a chill that had nothing to do with the cold.

She paused, her smile fading, as she glanced around, suddenly aware of how desolate the street had become.

Aadi's laughter in her ear faded as a faint sense of dread prickled down her spine.

Just as she was about to speak, something crashed into her from behind, sending her stumbling forward.

She barely had time to gasp before everything went dark.
