His Bright Side

Trudging tiredly into her third class of the day, Y/n can already feel her body beginning to give up on her.

She's definitely getting sick, and she is definitely in need of some food right now.

However, her classes are all so closely scheduled that she hasn't had the time to stop and pick something up all day.

Sighing, Y/n holds her growling stomach and walks tiredly into her English class.

It's only her second day here at college and already she's feeling ready for the school's first vacation break.

Sliding past the numerous different congregations of students dotting the class room, Y/n slowly slides into her seat and lays her head atop of her arms on her desk.
She closes her eyes, tuning into the semi-comforting background noise of her peers chattering and inevitably slipping into dream land within a few minutes.

...

It isn't long before the class has begun and the students in the room all begin to make their ways to their seats.

One of those students being a lean and muscular boy named Sung Mino. He sits beside Y/n at the very end of their isle of seats and immediately notices that his elbow partner is fast asleep.

He takes his seat quietly, doing his best not to disturb the girl and watching for a moment as she stirs in her sleep.
Y/n mumbles quiet gibberish beneath her breath, turning her head to the side instead of face down in her arms and unknowingly allowing Mino a perfect view of her side profile as she sleeps.

Mino can't help but smile, finding the way she sleeps so soundly in a place like this slightly amusing.

Shaking his head with a stifled chuckle, Mino listens as the teacher now instructs the class to take out a notebook and pen for today's set of notes.

For a moment, Mino considers waking his pretty desk mate, however, the thought of having to actually talk to a girl frightens the painfully awkward boy much too badly.

So, instead he does as instructed and gets to jotting down the first slide of notes that the professor projects on the whiteboard at the head of the classroom.

As today's class comes to an end and everyone begins to pack their things to leave, Mino finishes up the last of his neatly written notes and quickly snaps a few pictures of each page on his phone.

Afterwards, he takes his notebook and tares the pages from his book, leaving them in a neat little pile beside Y/n with a small sticky note stuck to the top sheet.

It reads :

𝚃𝚘𝚍𝚊𝚢'𝚜 𝚗𝚘𝚝𝚎𝚜 ☻
𝙷𝚘𝚙𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚕𝚎𝚙𝚝 𝚠𝚎𝚕𝚕! (𝚙𝚜. 𝚂𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚢 𝚒𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢'𝚛𝚎 𝚜𝚕𝚘𝚙𝚙𝚢...)

And with this Mino gives the girl a very brisk tap on the shoulder to wake her. And then the moment she begins to break free from her dreamy state of mind and lift her head, he's speeding out of the classroom. Almost as if he were never there....

Confused and still half asleep, Y/n lifts her blurry gaze from the table and looks around the classroom to see everyone taking their leave.

Eyes widening in question, Y/n feels dread quickly begin to resonate in her stomach at the thought of sleeping through an entire class on the second day.

She'll surely be behind now, there is no telling what she missed! God if only she'd slept better last night then -
Brows arching in question, Y/n catches glance of the notes left behind on the table. They're jotted neatly in red pen ink and the sticky note stuck to the top matches the rest of the penmanship perfectly.
