His Bright Side

When Yoongi finally stumbles upon Y/n he finds her sitting on the sidewalk in the arms of the boy she'd left the bar with.

He approaches the two of them, pulling the hood of his sweatshirt down so that he can get a good look at Mino.

"Hey," Mino whispers, staring up at Yoongi with an uncertainty as he silently sizes up the blond before him. "I take it you're Yoongi?"

"Yeah," Yoongi glances down at Y/n.

Her eyes are closed and her head is resting against Mimi's shoulder. She looks like she's only a few seconds from falling asleep.

"Come on Y/n." He says shortly. Bending down; Yoongi reaches for Y/n's wrist only to be stopped when Mino clasps his hand around Yoongi's arm.

"Show me your pendant."

Yoongi blinks in surprise.

'Who does this guy think he is?'

"Why should I?" He scoffs, not liking the demanding tone Mino used.

Yoongi watches as Mino pushes Yoongi's hand away from the girl he was after and adjusts himself so that his own arm is now hovering protectively in front of y/n.

"So that I can see for myself that the two of you are actually soulmates."

Rolling his eyes Yoongi stands back up and lets out another scoff of disbelief.

"Why else would I be here right now? You think I enjoy staying out late looking after a girl like this?"

Mino shrugs.
 
"Who knows."

The two boys fall into a tense few moments of silence as Yoongi struggles between his desire to get this whole night over with and his reluctance to be bossed around by some oversized nerd.

Eventually, after much deliberation, he gives in.

With a sigh Yoongi reaches under the neck of his hoodie and pulls the pendant out from beneath his clothes.

Mino stares at it for a long time, squinting his eyes to try and get a good look at the necklace as he sits on the poorly lit street side.

After a minute or so Mino lowers his arm and looks down to the girl at his side with an expression that Yoongi can't help but notice strongly resembles disappointment.

"Y/n..." he whispers. "That guy is here to take you home."

Y/n stirs, grumbling something beneath her breath before snuggling deeper into Mino's embrace.

Yoongi watches as Mino smiles softly at the gesture. Meanwhile, Yoongi finds his own mouth slowly forming a scowl.

"Alright," he huffs as he bends down and wraps his arms around Y/n's waist. "that's enough of that."

Yoongi pulls his soulmate out of Mino's arm and throws her over his shoulder like it's nothing.

Y/n groans.
