˚.꒷ 🏙 𓏲࣪◜𖤐 ᝢ "i've been growing bitter, drowning in the waves "

the car came to a stop once they hit downtown Las Vegas. the group filed out of the travel van stretching their legs. mal and jennie pulled out their phones to look up the best places to eat while the rest of the group chatted about what they wanted to do in the city.

reagan was the last one out of the car, announcing that jack was asleep. she felt bad and wanted to let him rest. jennie had filled her in on the circumstances before they left and she knew what he was going through.

reagan was in a long term relationship not so long ago too. but he wanted things she wasn't willing to give him and he found his desires somewhere else. without breaking up with her first. she was left shattered. he had convinced her to live with him, that he would take care of her and she didn't need a job. he promised he would take care of everything so she could pursue her dream of photography.

she was reminded of how weak she felt. she was very independent before him and now she had nothing. he convinced her it was all her fault and it took jennie a lot of time and tears to get her to understand it wasn't. he was a asswhole and she didn't need his negativity anymore.

reagan knew she could sympathize with jack but she also knew he would have to let her. and by the looks of it, that won't be anytime soon. if anything he doesn't like her and they just met less then five hours ago.

a few more minutes had passed before the group came to an agreement on the restaurant of choice and daniel went to wake jack up. jack lugged out of the van looking run down and just plain tired. daniel patted him on the back while mallory handed him a water. the group walked down the strip to a nearby restaurant and settled in a family sized booth.

zach, corbyn, and daniel started messing around with the straw papers, tossing them back and forth until they hit the waitress in the face with it. her glare was just enough to make them sit still for the rest of group to finish ordering. after to food came, dessert was eaten and the bill was paid, the group filed out to hit the road again to find a motel and go explore for the night.

jack was unfortunate enough to be placed in the room with sunshine, boundary breaking girl. on top of that, he had zach, corbyn, and hannah with him too. he wasn't in the mood for all their bouncy, positive energy.  jennie, jonah, mallory, and daniel took the other room. once they all settled in, they met in the lobby to go leave the night on!
