"Minji was never meant to survive," The Handler coldly spoke.
Y/n looked onward with a default demeanor.
"Okay!" Y/n suddenly laughed.
"You may laugh now but you will not survive when her time finally comes," The handler looked at Y/n with pity... before bowing sarcastically... and leaving...
- The Monster -
Miss Kim didn't get it.
Suffering wasn't always painful.
"Quit," My handler suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
It had taken me a while to get away from him, but he always seemed to find me.
"She's protected and she doesn't need you," My handler looked over at the bedroom window I was staring at.
"She's filled with feelings I don't understand," I coldly spoke.
"She's in distress-"
"But not the kind of distress you're trying to save everyone from?" My handler finished my thought for me.
I looked down at my hands and sighed.
My hands were slowly growing teeth.
I knew I would soon become a crawler if I didn't let go of what I was feeling.
"Yeah," I lowly answered.
I became this way because of the intense emotions I felt before I died. I had never accepted death. I was still angry and bitter. I still wanted revenge. I could never accept and forgive.
I was lost.
When I started eating people's misery... I felt a sense of accomplishment...
I quickly learned that even after taking someone's pain away...
They still died.
I wasn't the monster I thought I was.
I was just trying to help.
I didn't take people away.
I tried to help them stay.
"Minji was never meant to survive," My Handler suddenly sat beside me.
I looked in front of me.. at the reflection I saw in the window...
"Okay!" I laughed.
I already knew that.
Miss Kim was supposed to die with her family. Miss Kim wasn't supposed to suffer.
I always found death to be merciful.
It was a way to be freed.
I felt it so much...
That I killed myself to know what that felt like.
"You may laugh now but you will not survive when her time finally comes," My handler bowed before leaving...
"HEYYY!!!" I went after him.
The thought of Minji not surviving her emotions was something I couldn't bear.
"HEYYY!!! DON'T WALK AWAY FROM ME!!!" I needed more information.
My handler turned to look at me. He tucked his hands into his monk-like robes and said...
"She's the key to your freedom. Don't let your feelings allow her to die."
