A few days later our group chat started talking again.
GROUP CHAT JESSIE, KAREN, CHLOE, KARINA
CHLOE: I told Cara about HIM
CHLOE: She won't say...
KAREN: HAHAHAHAHA
JESSIE: BUT IT'S A FACT
JESSIE: A TRUE STATMENT OF LIFE
KAREN: I'M DYING XD
I was so confused who this HIM is.
KARINA: Who is HIM??
CHLOE: I still asking her
CHLOE: She not saying anything
KAREN: JESSIE I BET IT WAS YOU
JESSIE: ya?
KAREN: it was you
KAREN: Wasn't it
CHLOE: I asked her how to keep a conversation going with Cara
KAREN: JESSICA XD
KARINA: ANYONE WANT TO EXPLAIN!!!!!
JESSIE: WAS I NOT SUPPOSED TO TELL ANYONE?!?
KARINA: SOMEONE PLESE!!!!!!
KAREN: APPARENTLY NOT
CHLOE: oh thx Jessie
KAREN: oh sorry Karina
KARINA: IM SO LONELY ;~;
CHLOE: don't be
JESSIE: whoops XD
JESSIE: i didn't tell her the actual story tho
KAREN: I'm dying
KAREN: this is too funny

KARINA: I ain't laughing
CHLOE: Do u want me to tell Cara u told me? Or nah!
JESSIE: UM NOOOOO!
CHLOE : Ok
JESSIE : This child's gonna murder me
CHLOE: Im still asking her
KARINA: *sits in corner bc IM SO DAMN CONFUSED!*
KAREN: oh too late
JESSIE: KAREN!!!!
KAREN: I told Cara XD whoops
KAREN: She's gonna beat your ass
JESSIE: XD Commence Cara texting in 3..2..1
CHLOE: Dude! I was trying to actually have a genuine conversation with Cara!
KAREN: I'm still dying
KAREN: XD this is too funny
KARINA: *lurks*
CHLOE: darn!
CHLOE: there goes my chance
KARINA: U GUYS KILLED CHLOES LOVE LIFE!?!?!
JESSIE: ya basically
KAREN: well you guys just made my day
CHLOE: Darn!
KARINA: ...........
CHLOE: U guys are horrible ;~;
KAREN: Chloe next time go to someone else for advice that is not Jessie XD
CHLOE: Well u guys were not answering
CHLOE: And i really wanted to talk to her.....
CHLOE: We were really communicating!
I could tell that she was happy about talking to her but all of that was gone.
KARINA: DUDE ITS FINE!!!!
CHLOE: now it's gone.....
CHLOE: All gone......
KARINA: ITS OKKKKKKK!
KARINA DON'T CRRRRRYYYYYY!
KARINA: BE HAAAAPPPYYY!
CHLOE: SHUT THE F*CK UP KARINA!
I stopped and just stared.... Chloe never said things like that to me before......she was really mad. But I was really hurt...
KARINA: Whoa harsh words
CHLOE: I'm already angry as hell!
KARINA: Welp. Ima cry in a corner now....
CHLOE: Please don't
JESSIE: Do you see the things I tart guys!? XD
KARINA: OMG IT'S ALL JESSIE'S FAULT
KAREN: I'm still dying
KARINA: Well time for me to "shut the f*ck up" as one would say....
CHLOE: Dude, look come out of that corner, okay. I'm sorry for me loosing it like that, that NEVER happened before, and I was genuinely ANGRY bc that's probably the only genuine conversation I had with Cara all summer.
After reading that text I understood what Chloe was feeling when she told me to shut up. I felt bad. Then the next text popped up.
CHLOE: I should just stop rn
CHLOE: like that's it, I think I am just going to stop with the whole Cara thing
CHLOE: it's really messing me up
CHLOE: Dude! This day was hell, for me, so I don't want to add anything else on my pile of sh*t that is my life so, I think it would save me some trouble by just stopping.
KAREN: It's NOT the end of the world
CHLOE: No, but it's the end of mine
KAREN: Chloe we can help you talk to Cara next time
CHLOE: No, I think that's all
CHLOE: Look, I think I'm about done
CHLOE: I KNEW this was gonna bite me in the ass
JESSIE: Aww Chloe now I feel bad
CHLOE: Don't
Then I got a message on a private conversation.
MESSAGE FROM CHLOE
CHLOE: She feels like a bad memory now
KARINA: Dude, I think you should take a break from her
CHLOE: Yeah, so I deleted pretty much everything that reminded me of her...
And from that I knew that she was starting her "self healing".
Chloe's POV
I was serious about this maybe a break would do me some good. I went to sleep that night clearing everything that reminded me of Cara out of my head. I thought that maybe a good few days would do me some good.
Those days turned into weeks and those weeks turned into months until finally, it has been 7 years. I am now a 19 year old university student studying engineering. On this particular day I was going to meet up with Karina and Alex, whom I am still friends with, and we are talking about traveling the world together. Life just got better.
